Is the crit rate on this weapon still like 90%?

Seems it blows my torso off quite often.

if its being charged the crit chance goes up immensely, but if it isn't being charged its not as high but still higher than any other weapon

Ok, that was next question was whether it changed while charging. Happen to know what the actual % is?

I don't think that's a fact at all.
When destroyed, the Gauss has a 90% chance to blow up, compared to 10% for ammo.

Gauss Rifle has 3 HP (?)
When destroyed, 90% to explode, with 20 (?) Damage ammo explosion.

Basically, you're almost assured to get the torso with the gauss in it blown out if the rifle goes. Only mech I've seen survive it regularly when the torso has reletively full internerals if the Atlas.

Basically if area Guass is goes internal pretty much going to go boom.

Mech start having 20 internal torso armor at 40 Tons going up by 2 per 5 ton total weight increase.

I used to think it was always 75% crit chance, but after running the dire wolf and discovering that 9/10 times, the Gauss will explode if even a stray MG round hits it. Made my Locust back stabber oh so much fun for taking out Dire Wolves running them dual Gauss :P

Hi.

As a Jaeger driver I have to say they have made it useless passed months.
I love the art of sniping but skill is not favored here.

For me, sniping is art that requires alot of skill but this game tries to turn me into
a mindless (E) pressing LRM whooore.

It just has a higher chance of exploding(90%) when destroyed (by crits). It has a ridiculously low HP as well, so it's very easy to crit one. Think twice before placing one in your torsos.

dont put them in torso mounts. Especially not if you run an XL.

They really need to revisit this weapon. It go way overnerfed.

Yup. So overnerf'd it is the go to weapon for most meta players, specially Clans. :P

I can see it on a bigger mech because it seems the TORSO is where many focus fire.

Put it in an arm and you don't have as much risk. Put it in a clan arm and there is zero risk due to their built-in CASE.

it was not. if u played closed beta back when guassapult was in prime. 2 guass that did not explode on forest conley that was clear. u would know y things like this needed to happen. only thing that it had was convergence, but good pilots it only slowed them down by .25 sec. was pop aim 30 dam to ct down. all that in roughly 1ish sec. if u want to go back to them times, lets go:P

5 HP, otherwise correct. It was buffed awhile back, up from 3.

Put as much gauss ammo as you can in with the rifle. They will help with the crit hits.

the game favours skill

maybe it is your "lack of" that is the problem
