When destroyed, the Gauss has a 90% chance to blow up, compared to 10% for ammo.

When destroyed, 90% to explode, with 20 (?) Damage ammo explosion.
Basically, you're almost assured to get the torso with the gauss in it blown out if the rifle goes. Only mech I've seen survive it regularly when the torso has reletively full internerals if the Atlas.

Mech start having 20 internal torso armor at 40 Tons going up by 2 per 5 ton total weight increase.

As a Jaeger driver I have to say they have made it useless passed months.
I love the art of sniping but skill is not favored here.
For me, sniping is art that requires alot of skill but this game tries to turn me into
a mindless (E) pressing LRM whooore.

I can see it on a bigger mech because it seems the TORSO is where many focus fire.

Put it in an arm and you don't have as much risk. Put it in a clan arm and there is zero risk due to their built-in CASE.

it was not. if u played closed beta back when guassapult was in prime. 2 guass that did not explode on forest conley that was clear. u would know y things like this needed to happen. only thing that it had was convergence, but good pilots it only slowed them down by .25 sec. was pop aim 30 dam to ct down. all that in roughly 1ish sec. if u want to go back to them times, lets go:P

the game favours skill
maybe it is your "lack of" that is the problem
