As much as I enjoy the challenges, we can't expect to see one every weekend. I just hope there is something neat for Christmas.

If they ran them every weekend they wouldn't be very special. That's the point of events. They're atypical and the more you run them the more they lose their luster

I love the weekly events, but for most of this game's history, challenges and tournaments have been a semi-monthly thing. Even quarterly. It's been good these past few months, so I don't mind the occassional quiet time.

I'm expecting something special for an X-mas event. Russ already solicited ideas on events (not specifically X-mas) on twitter. I'm guessing at the least a "Stocking Stuffer" event on par with Halloween, in conjunction with something else. We shall see.

I've liked every single challenge! But a cooldown period is fine. I'd turn on some premium time, but waiting for Gargoyle to drop. I want to run that thing without elites for as little as possible.

Yeah, I'm one of those guys who has put a lot of money into the game and can't stand the horrible gamification behavior during the contest weekends.

Got a problem with it? Spend more money, hobo. I don't completely blame the F2P scavengers for the game play, as it's PGIs fault for setting up rewards in a way that more or less guaranteed horrible behavior from the proles.
