Hey Guys,

I have been playing with my FOV settings as the standard just looks awful on a 21:9 Monitor, thought I ask if anytone else runs an Ultra-wide monitor and what FOV settings they use?

Here is my setup:

It's strange, but I have found it to be more relaxing, something about seeing more cockpit makes it feel less stressful in combat for me.

Oh and Kudos to PGI for making the game work flawlessly in 21:9 without any tweaks needed at all!

Cheers,

Back in the day, you could go a lot wider. Fellow with a Catapult did a video from his 3 monitor setup, looked pretty awesome.

I tend to run around an FoV of 75 even with my 16:9 standard display, personally. The problem is some mechs are awesome with a wide FoV, others are extremely claustrophic (see: Griffin vs. Shadowhawk, Atlas)

90 to 95 I think is the max now.

I used to run at 100.

Yeah of all the mechs I have piloted since I got the monitor; the Wolverine cockpit is the most wide screen friendly.

I only have a 25" version so it's not too big, only 2 ft wide. I am loving it so far and I didn't even buy it for games, needed more screen for documents and don't have space for 2 side by side.

looks sweet! it really makes me pity all those folks who dont know how to change that terible default FOV.

with a wide FOV its like a whole new game, a whole new experiance. i cant ever go back to the tarrible 60 or what ever the default it. ever

and should note that you with a big monitor the default does not look so bad, but if you are like me on a labtop monitor its absolutly unbearable.

I never really noticed it on my old monitor (1680x1050) to be honest, but you are right; it does feel like a different game if you can see more cockpit.

hi,
Well, what is ur actual FOV ?
I just enter in the world of ultrawide display (i mean 3screens), and search for best optimization
But, i think cataphract and awesome are ultrawide friendly too
Totally agree for the aspect "different game", What an immersion :D !
