you dont understand, i have this FRIKKING ENERGY inside me to build so many builds of the King crab, i need to do it NOW but its not on smurfy's mech lab yet. WHEN will it be on zhe mechlab?

Likely not until the 16th. It uses the game's files for data.

You can theory build using various Atlas models. Just use same-tonnage weapons (2xPPCs are the same weight as an AC20) and crit slots to approximate your build. I created around 6 or so in the King Crab preview thread.

No one knows for sure about the hardpoints yet afaik.


Hardpoints are listed in the preview thread.

KGC-000(L): 6x Ballistic, 2x Energy, 2x Missile
KGC-000B: 4x Ballistic, 3x Energy, 3x Missile
KGC-0000: 2x Ballistic, 4x Energy, 4x Missile

Those DWF builds were terrible and played deliberately badly and the KGC still lost a lot of armour so you can't compare with what will happen on live servers. However it won't be a "poor man's" DWF because it's an IS mech and the Sphere is way better than Clanner scum. So KGC automatically wins. ggclose

4 AC/5's on an assault mech all hitting you for 20 pts of damage every 1 1/2 secs not counting any energy weapon back ups. The ability to have pin point damage for AC's is a huge advantage over clan AC's.

how is it a short ranged Dire? With the hard points it has, you'll see just as many ranged builds on this thing as close ranged builds.

UAC-5s and AC-2s everywhere lol. Not to mention Duel Gauss very easily. And that's just the ballistics. With the Missile and energy hard point numbers, they will be decent ranged builds with those as well. And with the torso twist quirks, they will be able to out twist any Dire on the field. Not saying they will for sure be better, at least not in a head on fight. But they for sure will out maneuver a Dire for sure.

Range should and mostly likely go to Dire wolf IE weapons all have longer range then IS.
Again the video is a show case so they want to show off what it can do not get chewed up in less then a min VS. ad 5 uc5 5 medium laser dire wolf.
At the end of the day it will come down to pilot skill and map situation on what would win Dire VS. Crab.
ATM I still give the nod to Dire wolf because it can pack more punch, better range and is XL friendly
Having said that I will love to prove myself wrong and create a dire wolf hunter out of it just not likely.

Pssst Dire Wolf is not firing 4 slugs at 5 damage each, per cycle. The Crab will be able to spread the Dire's slugs way more easily.
