Had a tiny itch to play the game, especially when I saw the loot bags on offer.

yeah...

One game cured that.

Really saps my enthusiasm when someone presses a button and deals 500 damage to my team.

No seriously...I used to HATE strikes....then one day i got fed up and started throwing strikes at people out of spite....well guess what...

It makes you happier....and #FeelsGoodMan

Try it, just once...just do it...

It's one of the issues that PGI is either ignoring or is incapable of fixing that has resulted in me not playing MWO for the last few months.

The arty and air strikes serve a purpose... to break up murder-balls... or at least punish players within them. I see your point, but they are a necessary evil.

yes.....

they need to:
allow only 1 per mech (either arty or air not both)
make the cooldown longer
make deployment not just push button from 1000m away and forget.

This can be achieved with one or two strikes. Additionally people cast them from behind resulting in not knowing that there is an airstrike until it hit you; there is nothing to dodge afterwards, so players keep the same formation.

Airstrikes are worse than arty, at least in my pov.

Only 10 per game? I usually see more.

2000m, well beyond any sort of normal engagement range.

I'm not nearly as tired of strikes as I am of the complaining about them.

well if PGI removed consumables from the game no one would complain about them anymore

they should replace consumables with a system like this

I will never use Arties because they promote dishonorable gameplay and are used only by chimps.

Get the damage done yourself, you cowards!

disagreements mean you are dishonorable!
it's true don't deny it!

I usually only see single digit uses on any given day.

I in fact encourage people to use strikes more often, nothing stresses a solo pug seal out more than getting striked... the more you do it the better chance you have at winning.

I receive more damage from teammates than I do from strikes. Strike are so easy to avoid with the long timer. I can't understand why people still cry so much. Could it be that situational awareness need a bit of work. Or could it be people are just too soft.

Consumables are cheese, but they would be fair play if they removed the pointless cost of using them.

I'm more sick of the endless missile warnings that are the callsign of a boring match.

There are some assaults that can't get out of the way of a strike even if you see it. I imagine ppl are also not too happy when they get hit from behind cover such as buildings where they cant even see the smoke.

Maybe PGI does not wat to "fix" it? I'm perfectly fine with that. Posted Image

However, we all know how weak-kneed they can get once the loud incessant crying gets to a certain level. Posted Image

I guess all drone pilots are even bigger cowardly chimps. Killing people from thousands of miles away from the safety of a secured building is much much more dishonorable, right?

There are at least 6 in Texas with more on the way. Maybe you should start visiting each and everyone of them and give them a piece of your mind.

What if arty strikes required an active UAV in near proximity? Or it was TAG-like beam you had to keep on targeted area for some time? Every mech have some sort of optic thingies, beam could fire from those.
