Looking into the Mad Dog camo issues at the moment.

Please do not complete/save your loadout if trying to apply a Clan Faction camo to your Mad Dog. The client will charge you the full MC amount.

If you have already processed an MC purchase for one of the Clan Faction camo's, please submit a support ticket to support@mwomercs.com
We will try to get that resolved for you ASAP.

Glad to hear this. Already sent my support email.

Hey everyone,

As outlined on the Wave 2 page, the Clan Faction Patterns released today only apply to whichever Wave 2 'Mechs were included in your respective package purchase. Attempting to apply those Wave 2 Faction Patterns to any Wave 1 'Mech will require the standard amount of MC to do so.

If you applied a Wave 2 Faction Pattern to any Wave 1 'Mech and incurred the MC cost by mistake, and if you wish to revert that action, we will be offering MC refunds together with pattern removals during our next maintenance window.

I am thoroughly confused.

It was my understanding that:
1. If I picked the four faction skins, that I would unlock all four faction skins for all my invasion mechs. The only reason you would only pick four of the same faction pack/skin pack is so you could get 4 of the cockpit items. Since the paints are more valuable than the cockpit items, I chose to unlock all the skins - because, why not?
2. It's like the polygon ammo, but available for the primary (I) variants.
3. The faction skins would not be available for the (I) invasion wave 1 mechs right away, probably due to applying it over the 'custom geometry' of those mechs.
4. Until they retrofit the faction colors for (I) variants, we wouldn't see it on wave one 1 mechs, but stay tuned and we would.

Now, I'm worried that:
1. Each faction content unlock would apply to ONE mech, unlike polygon.
2. The pictures of the Mad Dog showed it in faction colors, which was an example of what you would get in the faction package. Now, it has been stated that the Mad Dog was a bonus mech and not beholden to the rules for other invasion mechs, even though quite obviously the Mad Dog Prime (I) is an invasion mech with custom geometry and generic clan stripes. I hope they didn't show us a picture of what we'll get and not actually give us what they advertised.
3. I do not understand why it's charging me MC for faction skins for ANY of my clan mechs, as I've unlocked all four faction skins, and they should be unlocked for ALL my clan mechs. I know that some of these MC purchases are glitches, and have not spent any MC yet, but it still makes me wonder - especially due to Russ's tweets and Alexander Garden's posts if I've just been bent over a table.

I'm going to let the storm subside before I freak out, but the signs are really concerning me. Some of what Russ has tweeted since I started writing this post seem like they're moving in the right direction, but I'm still thoroughly confused, where I was sure I understood what I bought as of this morning.

The Mad Dog 'Invasion' variant was made available after the release of Wave 2 to players who purchased both the Masakari and Man-O-War Clan Collections. As the Mad Dog was not included with the Koshi, Fenris, Loki, or Man-O-War Collections, it is not considered part of the Wave 2 Collection and is thus not eligible for receiving the Clan Pattern reward items.
This restriction also applies to Mad Dog's purchased as of today with MC, or on January 20th with C-bills.

All that being said: If you received the Mad Dog 'Invasion' variant as part of your Ultimate Clan Reward for having purchased the Masakari and Man-O-War Clan Collections, we will be injecting Clan Pattern unlocks for any and all of the Clan Faction Content you had selected.
So, for example, if you selected 2 Ghost Bear and 2 Clan Wolf Clan Faction Content packs, you will be receiving a Ghost Bear and a Clan Wolf Pattern unlock for your Mad Dog.

We will be performing these injections for eligible Ultimate Clan Reward players soon.

All of this information and more will be going out in a system-wide news/main page post very shortly.

What about the polygon camo for the Mad Dog? Was this possibly overlooked or is it in the same ruleset as the faction camos?
