Heh, these games are ridiculous...ly awesome. I just did a game with, wait for it, 9 King Crabs. On each side. CRAB BATTLE!

Seeing is how my Wrath Package hasn't yielded mine, I'm forced to light pack and chew them up for a while.

But in the mean time, I'm having fun building them on Smurfy's.

My first Direwolf has been SLAIN! He came up from me, i unleashed the 2 AC20's and slammed RIGHT into his center torso, with the lasers doing the work! and i then i escaped like, WOOP WOOP WOOP WOOP WOOP

The DW has not been something to brag over killing in quite some time...in fact, let me know when you kill a 5SS Tbolt...that will tell you how good your mech really is.

Yeah let us know, after all the Thud has the same armor and firepower as the Direwolf........it's obviously harder to kill.

I Smurfied a quad AC2 + 2 AC5. Also a duall gauss, dual AC2 + 3 MLs, and a billion other ballistic oriented loadouts, this is gonna get crazy.

the joke is you don't need ballistics. with the 0000 you can even build a LRM60 wit 4 ML and tons of ammo. or pure ppc spam....

^^^Mmmm thats delicious, i made a 2 UAC5 + 2 AC2 + 2 AC5, but I only get around 12 tons for ammo which is enough to have some serious dakka DPS for a little while but not a whole match.

Alright. Verdict on the King Crab so far is: Lots of fun, but you've painted a target on yourself as far as any enemy mech that sees you is concerned. Oh, and I've seen quite a bit of friendly fire from Crabs today. Seems people aren't quite used to their big arm guns being so far out to the side when they use zoom, so they don't notice friendlies are in the line of fire.

But yes, fun to run, even without any efficiencies unlocked yet.

Speed and manueverability are armor...of which the 5SS has enough of...meanwhile the DW gets a negative modifier for being a walking turret. Turrets do lots of damage unchecked, but die quickly when looked upon sternly.
