[Lucky Moniker]

For starters, Point Commander is a rank only given to Non-Mech assets that have more then one person or vehicle per point of a star. As in the squad leader of Elementals, 5 to a point, one point commander; or aerospace pilots, 2 to a point, one is a Point Commander. By default mechwarriors are considered to be the same rank as a Point Commander, because there is one mech to a point.

lol.. maybe they will refine it.

My issue is that general can be anywhere from lvl 18-lvl20.

They need to add the lvl as well. Or change the names so that it is less difficult to tell what lvl people are

Who cares? It will be 3 years (or 90 days after CW) before anyone can even see your title most likely.

I have issues with the final ranks...

There is no way a player should be able to make Khan....

same reason you can't become President in any Call of Duty or battlefield games

The thing is that those kind of players will end up being practically permenant + all those extra bonuses. Most likely I will also be playing 28 days per slot as I would like to get all those juicy rewards at some point, but it's tough to say.

Edit: It will be rare as heck, not likely to get there.

while you are right... it can be used in the way PGI used it. So im ok with that.

Well by my best rough estimate it is 2200+ wins to get there with all possible LP buffs. If anyone makes it there in a faction... I say they deserve it. Would probably take 1-2 years solid with a group that did very well. Seems pretty reasonable.

In lore, the Khan is elected by the collective blood named warriors of a Clan, they must be a blood named warrior as well... So you can see my issue, any other rank, not a problem.

it's almost like they are titles, and not actual ranks.

Get rid of point commander, and you have a VERY limited amount of military ranks within the clan system.

All it is is a way of tracking progress. So unless you are arguing that clan ranks should be strictly based on the fiction and have their bundles trigger in large chunks rather then incremental acheivements, they are going to have to pad out their system to account for the incremental ranks that the other factions enjoy.

As Clans don't have a need for a Star commander 1 as opposed to a Star commander 3 either.

The final rank names in the IS is just bizarre. You shouldn't be able to be Captain General in Marik and Archon in the newly Liao controlled Steiner faction.

It is like being the Coordinator of the Kuritas or Prince of the Davions. Archon is a political rank like president. Captain General is technically a rank but it only exist when Parliment creates it to oversee the FWL during emergencies. IT has sinc become a political title since the Captain General has been given alot of emergency powers that makes it difficult to remove him. He is the De Facto leader of the FWL if not the De Jure. It isn't something you can get promoted into anymore than you can get promoted to sit on the Celestial Throne.

some people need to remove the roleplay sticks from their backsides. its just fluff, and a way to represent how much time you have spent grinding a faction.

If it's just Fluff why not just replace the names with Breeds of Dogs?

Start With Poodle, then Beagle, Mastiff, and so on then make the top tier Pug.

Yes it is Fluff but there is context for this fluff. It is very strange when you throw in something nonsensical like a political title when you have a list of military ranks.
