Wait for a following drop to join you in the shadow of the drop-zone for protection then move out en mass... Strength in numbers etc..etc..

But pugs don't play like that usually. Its every pug for themselves. It highlights the lack of communication between pugs. There was no competition in my game. It was just a turkey shoot and I just wanted it to end but still had another 3 mechs to play!

got a drop as a solo, was 12 pugs vs a 12 man though.. much much closer than i anticpated, we killed 39 of their mechs and they won with like 1 min to spare.

fricking awesome to be honest. advice if you are a defender pick a JJ capable mech for your first one or its pretty difficult to shoot them before they take the gate down

by the looks of the way it played id say if you are solo defending is MUCH easier

Hehe, pugs complaining about how being a pug in a team game is not going to work.

Good to hear it actually requires tactics. Sure hope my unit leader gets home before I do :D

The rewards for those matches sound great. what're they looking like on the losing teams? C Bills wise?

Because if 500k+ isn't hard to get, that may just make getting the modules I still need a lot easier!

377k, premium and 2 primes. Lost a match, did around 1.6k? dmg. I forgot..

There should at least be a Pug only queue, or a queue without 12-Mans.

Played one for Steiner and we won, somehow. The only things that annoy me is it was pop pop 5-600 meter shooting and then only if you were set in the limited number of range positions and they came to that side. Then it was brawl, brawl, brawl. Map had 3 chokepoints with limited los and very hazy, don't recall the name.

Also, on 2 drops I was being whaled on as I was falling the last few meters. Otherwise, it was pretty crazy. First time I ever got 33 assists. :D

edit: I saw no use whatever for LRMs on that map.

Sounds like the map catered to sniping as well as brawling, so win-win?

ECM seems to be even more important than before.

Oh, and those already struggling with keeping a steady framerate: prepare for slideshow.

defending vs 12 mans is absolutely ZERO fun......

mixed groups it works. vs large groups it doesn't

and yes frame rates took a MASSIVE hit.

there seems to be "Lag" even though everyone has low pings as well. Seeing that as a complaint.

So, what's the next Clan target?

Edit: Got a notice for Apollo, so let's see what we can get going there.

From my Kuritan account...

Attack Planets (Owned by someone other than Kurita):
Port Moseby - Kurita has 3/11 zones, if we get 3 more wins we take the planet from Steiner
Halesowen: Kurita has 0 zones, this is a FRR planet
Pinnacle - Kurita has 0 zones, this is a Clan Ghost Bear planet
Rockland - Kurita has 0 zones, this is a Clan Smoke Jaguar planet

Defense Planets (Kurita owned planets):
Kimball II - Steiner has 5/11 zones captured so far... If they get 6 they take the planet from Kurita
Ardoz - FRR has 0 zones
Turtle Bay - CSJ has 0 zones

We need an in-game means of coordinating matches.

Soooo... no ammo reloads? Do you just go until you've run out, then act as a meat shield?

you can eject if you want to (press and hold K). might be better to act as a damage sponge for a push though.

It sounds like a backup energy weapon is now a requirement. Otherwise you're a liability to the team...

I can't imagine LRM boats will be a great idea either. I'm okay with this... It should encourage less outright spamming on Ballistics and Missiles, and more variety.
