How many OLD men and women have been waiting for this game to come out since the end of Genie / Solaris? I need a beta account before I get any older... lol I have 4 grandchildren and one on the way... so all you young MechWarrior’s be thankful you did not have to wait as long as some of us ;>

Looking forward to kicking the heck out of some Davion booty!!!

I played MPBT: solaris on AOL/Gamestorm and BT3025

I don't have grand kids, but I do have 3 kids one of which is old enough to play. So I have to work on getting him into it.

Cool deal... I played both AOL/Gamestorm as well and BT3025 I think... Looking forward to having some fun! The good thing about being old now is the internet speeds are FAST not 9600 or something like that with a crappy dialup connection and that irritating connection sound... we can afford to build kick butt machines because we are not a broke young college kid anymore.

Welcome to the fun house. I greatly suspect the prime demographic that will be playing this game will be far older than the majority of all other FPS games.

hell im 60 i have kids older than some hereplaying and my gandson is 13 been playing BT sence it was battledroids. My unit is the Black death Union i guess my nose art will be the grim reaper in a wheelchair

Grandpa Mechwarrior counts as Lostech targeting computer when piloting a mech.

When I made this thread I was thinking the same thing... good to see so many old timers who love BattleTech / Mechwarrior ready to have some fun!

Hmm... I think House Davion could use some services. I'm not too expensive, I have mechs and my compatriots and I are willing to cut them a discount on the salvage rights if they let us keep the enery weapons!

Did I mention we're reliable? A solid B- from the MRBC! It's a steal!

(Or that's what my old table top campaing unit ended at.)

In other news: Yeah, I am so glad with this game I won't wonder "is that a roundish building or an urbanmech?" untill a AC20 is or is not fired ... ... ... And I find out a second later like I did a couple times on BT3035 when I worked at AOL. (How long ago was that... *shudder*)
