I think the attackers could use for a heavier set. Say 300 tons vs. the 240 for the defenders.

It depends on the faction though. If the 'Sphere gets an organized wolf pack of DOOOM together, the match can be over in the first few minutes. They sail over the walls with disdain, the lethal firepower of the guarding turrets outmatched by force of numbers. Making the attackers heavier here is irrelevant, and would possibly just let them pack far more firepower if the light rush fails.

Clan lasers and AC's have a little more trouble against IS lights than ironically the IS do themselves. It's one advantage the 'Sphere has.

The rules change depending on which faction is defending which map.

Defense is easy money, I have no idea what you're talking about.

Basically, attackers have choice of trickle down or not. Defenders, don't, which means the game is effectively over once one static drop zone gets spawn camped.

Defenders also have the "Luxury" of not having to assault the wall facing not only the enemy team but the turrets and occasional Dropship. Defenders have the upper hand as is to be expected in an assault. We got hammered attacking but dang some of the match ups were awesome. House Kurita & Jade Falcons were two examples of sweet fights for the Law. We lost but wow how cool were the fights!? ^_^
