It's a known issue. Just saw Phil on NGNG stream say that he was having a really hard time too. Don't think many people are spared this FPS drop.

Here's the Known Issues page:
http://mwomercs.com/...re-patch-13358/

Supposedly, this is one of their top priorities is to fix performance issues with CW. And it really should be since a lot of people can barely play the game with the current FPS drops

I just noticed that my GPU doesn't ramp up to full core clock in CW. Normally, it sits at 907mhz in normal games, but during CW, right after drop ship, it downclocks to 600mhz, and my fps tank with it. I also notice this with the mechbay screen. While on mechbay screen, i sit at 60fps constant. The moment I load up Faction screen, without 2-3 seconds, my constant 60 fps would drop to 48. I look on MSI afterburner and there is a correlating drop in my GPU core clock at the same time.

Question guys, is your GPU clock stable? For some reason playing game my gtx670 is slipping into a power save state. Check with a program GPU Z or MSI afterburner. I had to force the clock speed in Nvidia inspector, now frames appear to be stable again.

My fps seem to stay ok while I'm loading/ in the dopship.. and even *sometimes while i spectate. Very weird.

Is it only on NVIDIA? I have the same problem, in the Dropship 80 FPS it open the door, it goes down to 18 FPS. Its hard work with a light mech then.

The FPS drop has nothing to do with Smoke and dead Mechs - i had it at start right from the moment i faced the enemy at their far away spawns.

I have an ATI 7800 series, so it's not just nvidia.

My FPS drop also happens when the dropship doors open. (more or less..)
Seems to get worse over time. (2nd and subsequent drops)

I-7 920 at 2.66ghz. This was my bottleneck for non-CW warfare i think. CW wants even more clock cycles maybe?
I only have 6 GIgs of RAM. Dunno if memory management could be part of it?

P.S. I am a dummy and can't figure out how to force my video card to run full speed with the ATI catalyst control center. Anyone help an old fart out with that?

I can handle 20-30 fps, but not <9fps in CW. If I have to, I'll use R.shift+f11 to get rid of my hud and double the fps for now

I'm having the same issue. I think dead mechs are contributing to the problem, but that isn't the sole issue.

I was getting easily 50-70fps before CW. Now I'm lucky if it's over 30. I run two crossfired ati 7900 series cards. 2.8ghz i7 with 12gb of RAM.

I haven't checked if the hardware is being fully utilized. I'll keep an eye on it next match.

Asus® X99 Deluxe
Intel® Core™ i7 5960X 3.0GHz
NVIDIA® Quadro® K6000 12GB (yes i got one and you can cry )
32GB - 4x8GB - 2400MHz - DDR4
I play this at a solid 220 FPS at 4096 x 2160 on 3 (three) 80 inch Sharp 4k displays
when i play CW

get better computers and stop spending your money on temporary things like BOOZE AND DRUGS AND CIGS

"The average smoker forks over at least $1,500 a year, while here in New York City, it's closer to $3,300."

average on booze is $457
in a house hjold of 2 adults 2 children

under the age of 25 its close to 1k-4k a year on booze

Get better computers that actualy last longer then a cig or a glass of booze

if you do not drink or smoke then save up
