This question is a bit different. This one is specific to the time line we are entering, ie 3050, as the topic you linked to covers post 3050 as well as pre 3050 (ie clan mechs and more advanced tech). For me Id like to see the Commando or Assasin.

Seriously, everyone probably has their favorites, but I'd like to eventually see just about every mech ever created as an option in the purchaseable player store. Being a mech addict I used to pick a mech of a certain weight and then thumb through the TROs to try cloning different weapons loadouts and equipment setups. I agree totally! While the original lineup will be likely limited, It would be nice to see more come out either thru time, achievement unlock, or even purchase online.

Atlas and the Awesome.. I love me my Assualts.. Also hoping for some Clan tech..

Personally like to modify to increase engine power and speed, lose some of the heavy guns and upgrade more rapid fire power..

I am really hoping for a Mechlab..

Curious how SOF Mechwarriors like myself will play into the game. Hopefully we will have a little more access to Clan Tech since we will be more scavengers and less loyal to the Houses.

OH and I think it goes without saying the Timber Wolf/Mad Cat is a HAVE to have, along with the Catapult, Hunchback, Jenner.

Personally I like the Ebon Jaguar and Kodiak if we can get Clan Mechs.

I'd love to see all the Mechs prior to 3050 myself, baring Clan of course(which actually exist at that time of MWO), there's some great classics in the pre-3025 and in the post 3025 TROs.

The 50 ton Medium weight Crab BattleMech, which arms 2x Large lasers, 1x Medium laser and 1x Small lase and a top speed. Of 86.4kp/h (making ione f the saster 'mechs in its range.

It was also my 'mech of choice on the battlefield of MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries.
