The issue is that you can not have a system that is competitive for everyone. This is not the fault of PGI it is the fault of people who insist on using sub-par mechs, not learning how to use the mini map, and assigning random teams to a game mode that is designed for coordinated play. Also I do totally understand CW will die without pugs but only because PGI set up a queue instead of an open map for people to moved from planet to planet on.

The thing is, right now there is a play mode for everyone. Want to play solo and casual? Solo queue has you covered, and Elo actually does a good job of putting you amongst players of similar skill level. Want to play in casual groups? Hey, group queue. Want to play organized, competitive matches? Private lobbies.

That paragraph said to me you and I will never see eye to eye:P

with money on this game you can buy the build to win, but you can't buy the skills. In MWO, I'd say skills are 50% of the equation, so don't expect to win everything with paid mechs.

that's because CW is not going to be "casual" no matter how much some of the players want it to be in the name if "casual"

THey have the pub queue. They have options to play casually. It gets old seeing them want every single facet of the game catered exclusively to their idea of fun.

Don't like playing in a "hard" environment?
Hey that great! Nothing but love for ya. Drop pub queue.

Unless you're at the very top or very bottom, nearly everyone has about a 1.0 WL. That means that Elo is doing its job.

Exactly my point:)
The solo guys seem to want EVERYTHING on a platter tailor made, just for them.
Lucy said there is a place for everyone to play, except there isn't. the group queue isn't casual.....when we've run it, we fairly regularly come up against much larger groups spamming the living life out of strikes on cooldown and stacked with meta builds. And that is not really the place for father and son 2 mans etc....
When the solos screamed loud enough to get their own queue....the casual group droppers lost in some way the casual pay they had. they got put in with the sharks.

On a personal level, it's made me a better player but the sad side effect is I enjoy playing less.
