So did you cancel the contract while in the unit, or did you quit your unit and that canceled the contract? I suspect that if you quit the unit you wouldn't have these penalties and would have been able to join another unit with the correct allegiance.

Otherwise unit commanders could grief players by kicking them out of the unit which would cost the kicked player money and lock them out of CW. I can only hope PGI didn't implement it that way.

frankly I don't remember.
I did leave the unit first
but I had to cancel the contract manually
it told me I had to pay 200.000 c bill
and then 2 day waiting period stuck in a faction I did not agree on or had a choice in the matter

1 Disbanding all units would be bad.
CI alone has dozens (hundreds? honestly haven't checked the total in a while) of members, and many millions in the coffers.
It would be painfully impractical to deal with.

2 Have you submitted a support ticket to PGI?
If not, you're really just pissing in the wind.

No one cares. Your tirade is childishly aimed at the wrong people. Your unit leader didn't correctly communicate his intentions and you didn't bother to clarify them. My unit has been discussing this for the past two months and making sure of what was happening. Our Unit leader was on vacation when CW first opened and we had to wait until he could be contacted to select our affiliation. We did, like adults.
