I just noticed that the Victor 9B's Laser Duration quirk has now become a +7.5% rather than a -7.5%. According to the PDF on the 12/9/2014 patch notes, it's supposed to be a -7.5%. Can anyone confirm what it's really supposed to be? The PDF is found here.

There are no negative weapon-quirks yet, so whatever the sign it's a "good" quirk.

As Ironwithin said above, do not be bothered by the +/- it is actually a good/benficial quirk. The problem stems from them first writing things like - x% cooldown, to representing a smaller waiting percentage between each shot and someone simplistically seeing the - sign and saying "hey, a minus is a negative thing, a penalty, how dare they mess up my favorite mech!".

They then tried to rewrite all the quirks so that a cooldown amount was listed as a bonus with a +x% to explain that's a greater SPEED of cooling, e.g. smaller cooldown wait time. Even then, obviously some read it wrong, or were confused thinking hey... if my autocannon's cooldown is 1.5 then an added (+%) on cooling must be making my wait time longer... so it's a penalty!!!! RAGE!!!!!

There's just no winning sometimes. Point is, they are all beneficial right now. So the amount is what's important. So if your mech is saying +10% cooldown, plus you have a weapon cooldown that is somehow listing -12% or something, it's not 2% it's 22% better cooldown time.

Things like duration, ie. laser duration, since there are no modules modifying it, only some specifically shorter durations on certain variants for specific lasers and general lasers, they probably just maintained the - % way of stating it, because they mistakenly felt it would be clearer for a - % to be read as a shorter, snappier laser shot.

I'm just saying this because the quirk on the 9B is a positive value and red while the 9K has the same quirk for Laser Duration that is a negative number and green. All other 'Mechs like the Thunderbolt 9SE seem to have positive Laser Duration quirks in green with negative numbers. PGI stated in the PDF that the Victor 9B is getting a bonus to Laser Duration by 7.5%, so I want to make sure it's not actually getting a penalty. The Victor 'Mechs have been nerfed enough in the past I'd hate to see them get nerfed again, especially if it's the result of a typo in some spreadsheet.
