General question. I'm sitting on 4200 rounds of SRM and over 9000 rounds of LRM ammo (comes with chassis when purchased) I'm never going to use because I always upgrade to Artemis. There is no choice to sell on the Inventory section, and I just tried to add it to a chassis I was going to sell and checked mark to sell Items. Nada. That's about 1,332,000 CBills I can put toward modules.

Math:
SRM - (4200/100 per unit)*(27000 CBills per unit/2) = 567,000
LRM - (9000/180 per unit)*(30060 CBills per unit/2) = 765,000

And before anybody chimes in about repair and rearm, remember they removed that and then lowered CBill earnings.

Hoping to clean up my inventory, and I know such additional money would help newer players.

Its too bad you cant sell LRM ammo to your friends for cheap..... or Craigslist... something....

Once as a joke I bought 20,000 rounds of machine gun ammo.. (I wanted to shoot machine gun ammo for the whole round).... I thought you could sell it back... nope

Have you tried loading up all the empty slots of your most-hated mech with extra ammo and then selling the mech+ammo combo?

And.... it helps to read all your comments. I see you tried that already.

ammo is so ******* cheap I really don't care or take a huge loss on ammo.

Thinking more for the new players or ones coming back that might not have tons of CBills. Every little bit helps.

I'd never sell Standard Guidance LRM/SRM ammo to my friends. That is like selling them a chocolate bar from which I already took a bite out.

So as to quell any "grave robing" comments I'm "re-purposing" an old thread instead of making a new one.

I am not new to MWO i am a Founder and back in Beta everything... armor, ammo, Mechs, weapons ect. ect. were all up for sale. now after quite some time passed, enjoying tweaking and testing load outs on Mechs i have quite the stock pile of munitions and weapons but it wasn't until i decided to see how much ammo i really had, did i become angered by the stupid amount of wasted C-bills.

The amount of ammo i have is enough to rearm house Steiner for 6 months and one of the Clans for 3 months. tallying and adding my ammo types up, both 1 ton and 1/2 ton I'm guessing i have around 2.5 million lost C-bills in CLAN ammo alone... at that point i didn't even bother to add up the Inner Sphere ammo costs but id be surprised if i don't have something close to the same or more.

but the question is still valid...why cant i sell ammo!?

Unfortunately yes i have come across the term "Paulconomy" before... and i have seen a few threads that discuss it's origon and the BAD ideas that followed in its wake.
