I am a bit confused, we try to attack Verthandi, but soemtiems we suddenly switch to attackers, and even if we win (2x already) the attacker points reduce. This seesm to be a bit strange

Counter attacks seem to follow attacks, though might follow someone elses attack rather than the last match you were in, so they can remove the point you gained. At least that how it appears.

Krafty is correct, it's been covered in another thread. The attack and defend team is not the role in the drop, but the side you are playing on.
