For the 1st graders like me, what the hell is going on here? do need to disband my unit and join some other? Can you drop as a lone wolf? are all my clan mechs or inner sphere mechs now useless depending on who I join? I'm all for it but where is the manual? I click on someone needs a defender or attacker and what?

Not really intuitive here, any help? is there a simple this is how to?

1. Clans pilot Clan mechs in CW. IS pilots IS mechs in CW. In the solo que where the big "Play now" button you can pilot any mechs you want.
2. If an alert shows up asking for defenders, you get put into a que for that planet.
3. You can drop lone wolf.

To join a CW game.
1. Click the Faction tab.
2. Pick your faction
3. Set up your Drop deck of mechs.
4. Click on a planet that is glowing (contested planet)
5. Make sure your drop deck is correct, pick your first mech, then click "attack" or "defend"

6. Find something to do while you wait for the next 5-30 minutes for a game to start, because there's no means of knowing if the qeue is filling up for a certain planet or not.

The match maker doesn't show who is on your team till its figured out a 12 man team. so don't worry.

From what I've seen the names don't pop into the roster until it is filled.

Its all making sense now, I thought I was losing my mind, frustrating to put it mildly so I guess ill try it until I get a launch.

Is there someway to have it send a text to my phone when it's ready to drop? I'm right in the middle of Harry Potter #6 right now.
