Is it considered bad etiquitte to use troll builds like 6ERLL hunchies in CW?

why? that would just overheat and be ineffective. It's cool if you want to drop a worthless mech, die in it, and wait a half hour to get it back I guess.

i was using a 4xERLL dragon on defense. it wasn't horrible but wasn't great either.

probably the one missed thing in CW is the mech variety. there isn't a whole lot at the moment.

Use what want and like, don't let others sway you away from that. One of the best aspect of the game is just using weird stuff and it seems to be a sore spot for so many. Loved getting chewed out by someone because I didn't use their ideal load out.

I seem to see the IS bringing more varied mechs to the field than the clans. Maybe it's just because there are so few clan mechs right now.

It is hard to hit the weight limit right and have a diverse clan dropship. There are many more IS chassis across all weights so it is a bit more diverse.

Can't stand the stormcrow. I prefer 1 Timberwolf, 2 Hellbringers, and an Adder

I wish they would of forced us to use trial mechs from that faction to fight with instead of custom builds. Or even having the military we represent give us a list of mechs that are only allowed in stock configs or something to keep any form of meta outta this mode.

Well being as I drop with IS mechs I know we would have some problems most likely but that can be remedied by putting in a trial mech for each IS chassis available to the Inner sphere for CW and also that would still provide challenge for Clan mechs as well as ghost heat is a ***** for a lot of their weapon systems if they dont modify them with extra heatsinks etc.

As this just came to mind then also have the Clans drop with 10 players total compared to IS players and that should hopefully even out if were all using trial mechs and no custom meta builds lol.

Well, there are a select few current IS stock mechs that have DHS...the rest though would definitely be unusable.

With elo matchmaking not in place in CW, i honestly have to ask myself if guys are running troll builds or if the stuff i'm seeing are the builds they always use.

I have seen builds i could not believe anyone would actually run them

Like... a King crab with 2x er ppc, 1 ac2, AMS, 3MG and 2 artemis srm4.
Or a crab with ac20, gauss, 2ml, 1 artemis lrm 10, 1 ssrm 2.

What is going on with those guys?

I've been enjoying my 2 Timber Wolf, 1 Stormcrow, 1 Adder deck.

Could always switch the Adder to a Kit Fox and the Stormcrow to a Mad Dog if you don't care for the 'crow.
