Hi!
As a member of the SRoT (Skye Rangers of Terra) I also would like to comment on CW.
First, we are a fairly big unit (344 members last time I checked). I joined around 6 months ago and the vast majority of players aren't in any kind of competitive team (although several are). We have people all round the world in different time zones, so it's fairly easy to log in at any time of day and join in a match or two on teamspeak, and we enjoy blowing up giant robots as much as the next person.
I've played 18 games today (snowing outside and no reason to go out), and we certainly didn't win them all. I would say just over half. We do get beaten by other groups and by PUGs.
That said, CW requires a lot more teamwork and coordination than other games, both for attackers and defenders.
I would say that I have definately enjoyed this game a lot more with other players then solo, although I appreciate that not everyone feels the same way. I would also say that we try to be gracious winners when we do win and to appreciate superior teamwork and tactics when we lose. We have actively reminded a couple of newer members this weekend that part of being a Ranger is to acknowledge the spirit of the game and (to put it bluntly) not act like a tool.
You can find us at http://www.skye-rangers.net - Please feel free to contact me in a private message or in the game if you would like to know more. I think everyone should give group play a try for a while at least. We certainly have no problem with members that only play once a month if they want to.
Have good drops!

well, defending is a lot easier, so send your groups who arenot as skilled to the planets that you conquered abive 6, to play as counter attackers, or let them defend planets you owm below 5 attackers pijnts to be on the defenders side.
the skilled goups then need to attack and counterattack, because they have realistic chances to even win attacks *
*not counting 100% winchance zergrushes. They are a bug, not a feature.
