How The Match Actually Works?

we manage to atack a planet (3 hours ago) and make it 10 win
as far as i know we decide to stop atacking the planet due to we already won it
and now suddenly we have 1 win on the same planet
can the defender defend empty planet without any1 atacking and got a win point ?
any clues guys ?

I think what happened is you won the planet over. Now its yours and you are defending it against counter attacks. So the others are "defending" their a planet by counter attacking you, but since you didnt show up to defend they got one attack point. Its yours now but if you dont defend it now, it will switch back.
