Since the Challenge went live. I have been in queue for some plants solo for over 2 hours with no pop.

2 days in have have gotten 6 matches.

The match making for invasion mode needs to be fixed.

Honestly, having gotten in 24 matches since the challenge started, my tips are:

1. Queue for the Clan borders, they are the most active
2. Never sit in a queue for longer than 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, the match will launch with no defenders if the teambuilder couldn't build a 12 man. Also, if it did build a team and launch, it will not start another match until the current is finished.
3. Always chase the activity popup (Except Turtle Bay,I swear that one is a trap)
4. The more friends you queue with, the better, but the fastest way is to have a 12 man,or you and all of your friends coordinate a sync solo drop.
5. Expect around 15-20 minutes on average queue hopping between matches.

Switch planets more often. If one team is formed and waiting for the other, they only wait 5 mins before dropping VS an empty base. No point waiting more than 5 mins.

You can also jump on one of the TS servers, find groups with 4-11 players, and sync drop with them (pick the same planet) or join their unit.

EDIT: Games where the enemies do a no show should count towards the challenge though, waiting for a long time to not have any chance at getting a challenge point sucks.

They can't just fix it. Nobody plays this game anymore, they will have to win players back in order for the matchmaking to work properly.

PGI does seem to have a "rub them with raw meat and throw them to the wolves" mentality with their initial product. Im sure that a year, or more from now, CW will look a lot different.

Russ explained how the matchmaker works here: http://www.reddit.co..._behavior_russ/

Long story short, playing in a large group, preferably 12 people, gets you matches instantly. Playing in smaller groups and especially solo makes finding games take a very long time.

I've had two matches so far, after waiting a very long time to get in one.

First one crashed on load, I managed to reconnect the the game went all weird - I could move my mech around but I have no cockpit and the terrain didnt move, yet I was moving (hard to explain) and I think it reset all my mechs back to trail mechs. Anyway, we lost.

Second match, there was no enemy.

Good start so far.....

Pick the planets that are being contested, especially on clan borders. There is a thread in this forum that will help as well. I had horrific wait times yesterday, but today has been a LOT better. I'm easily on track to win the challenge as a dirty nasty diseased pug.

Didn't play in a 12 man tonight

5 matches in 2 1/2 hours

I'd suggest reading through some of the tips other players have provided to help mitigate the long wait times. They seem to be working.

Your ignorance is astounding. We'll just ignore the fact that PGI has reported record breaking number of players this weekend because you "said so" and nobody plays the game anymore.

Did 14 matches, 10 with points to qualify for tier 2 which was my target. 2 matches were empty counter attacks, the last 2 matches were against light rushes.

I've found the biggest barrier to be the matches with no opponent. Huge waste of time.

Every match I've played that had an opponent, win or lose, got enough points to register as a win towards the goal.
