For those who haven't joined a unit before, some personal data to share:

Been playing for about 18 months (and as you'll see, still not that good of a player), I joined their casual, late-night Company 4 months ago, after over a year as a solo pilot.

However, just by joining Aces Wild, my skills have steadily improved.

Before joining a group: KDR = 0.50
Since joining Aces Wild: KDR = 0.79 (overall KDR is at 0.58 now)

In other words, I have enjoyed a 60% increase in my Kill rate AND dying LESS since joining Aces Wild. Pretty noticeable, huh?

Reasons for the improvement (in my opinion)
- You get access to skilled players and their advice/knowledge (yes, apparently their talent/skills do "rub off" on you);
- You get feedback in-game as well as post-game.
- You get in-game and overall game intel
- You get to plan and coordinate more often (which increases survivability and wins)
- You get to focus on a role, and get good at it.
- You survive and fight better because your back is covered more often (less being flanked).
- You get to rely on these benefits EVERY time you log on, because there is always someone in your unit online to buddy up with.
- When your unit takes a planet, you have the pride of knowing you contributed and others will know it too. [AW]

And then there are the benefits I have not yet tapped into, but would improve my skills further:
- You get to practice your skills with others, who actually have an interest in really helping you (to better the team)
- You get to practice your role in a team, again for the team.
- You get to try NEW roles and group tactics, not just hope or ad lib.
- You can join the competitive groups (in Aces Wild, there are casual a competitive sub-groups).

I highly recommend joining a Unit, and respectfully suggest you give the Aces Wild some consideration. Seek out the [AW].

Hi, first of all your attitude towards BEER makes AW seem like a perfect fit. What time zones are you mostly playing? Do you have a lot of european players?

The Aces Wild are actively recruiting again. Due to RL issues our recruiting fell to the wayside.

What we are looking for....We are mainly a NA unit and all of our activity times are based on the EST zone. If you can play between the hours of 6pm EST to 11pm EST one night a week on a consistent basis, will post on the unit forums a minimum of once every 2 weeks, like to have fun and are looking for a home rather than just a unit then we would welcome you no matter where you live or what time zone you live in.

Of note...We have a strict policy against multiclanning so if you are in another unit then we will see you on the battle field also of note we are primarily a Davion unit, we do occasionally send small strike teams out to other factions in CW although that won't begin again until after the New Year.
