as CW is in its current state alot of the time there isnt even an opposing team of players to fight and you just go in wreck turrets and sack the base
what if in the event of no opposing players to game could spawn tanks and such in addtion to turrets to give us something to fight against
there plenty of interesting non mech combat vehicle that could be used

just gimme a dropship to circle the battlefield 
actually, I guess the sense of singleplayermission is to simulate undefended planet, yet to also consume some tiem for the attackers, to prevent repeated intsant capping when there are no defenders.

It is year 2014 anno domini and competent game developers already exist on this planet. It's just MechWarrior franchise was unlucky to be bought by PGI
