Hi together,

I think it would be nice and useful to mix IS and Clans mechs inside your drop deck if you play as merc corp. I see no suggestive reason why you can't use all mechs standing in your hangar.

Please support this request and write your opinion!

Thx all,
Boronho

Yes, I think mixing mechs should be possible for all factions. If you play IS, you could just salvage Clan mechs and vice versa. It's bad, that you can't use half of your mechs currently.

Nope.

Some of us have waited decades for pure IS versus clan stuff, not going to ruin this early in the process by mixing tech.

if you want to use your clean mechs, do a clan contract if you want to use your IS stuff do a IS contract.

its not that difficult, i wouldnt mind a 1 day contract with no bonus and no penalty for breaking though.

Its a clan invasion, it makes no sense that the start of it begins with a mix of Mechs it will happen later on in the CW life. PGI has been clear on this for some time now.

Nope.......

Imagine that you're from 1940 and you are fighting someone from 2014.........you kill and enemy and capture his PDA, his wrist watch and his calculator...............how are you going to use them? How are you going to repair the damage they took in combat?

Besides, as others have said, some of us waited a LONG time for a Battletech game and we'd prefer not to see it ruined because some folks feel entitled.

No thanks. I've been waiting for pure tech battles since clan mechs came out. We finally get to have IS vs IS fights, and IS vs. Clan. The regular queues are still there for your mixed battles.

CW is supposed to be the start of the Clan invasion. It doesn't yet make sense for merc units or IS houses to have Clan mechs. I also don't know if Clanners would even use IS mechs if they salvaged them.

Not all Clan mechs are omnimechs. Clans have their own second line mechs which are variants of IS mechs... the IIC mechs. Theyre basically just IS mechs that use clan tech. Like the Hunchback IIC has two CUAC20s.

Adding IIC mechs to the game would be an easy way for PGI to repackage existing content and sell it a second time lol.

No, we have that extremely boring mode in both solo- and group queue. Let it stay at that.

I think it should happen but be limited to a max of one non-faction mech in your dropdeck.

Victor Steiner-Davion was using a Dire Wolf for many years, and the clans use plenty of old Star League or captured equipment in their 2nd line and solahma clusters.

I think it should be allowed, but limited. One mech per four would probably be a safe balance.

Only if you are in 3PV.

See I made the idea worse, bet you didn't think it was possible.

I think a merc unit should not be bounded to one typ of mech (clan or is). It's not logical for me. Mercs are mercs because they are free to fight for any side,

On the one hand I understand the wish to play IS versus clan matches. But on the other hand my unit is a perfect example for a merc unit. Some of us have purchased the clan mech packages and other don't have bought them. So I think its reasonable that we would like to use mixed dropdecks to make all of us happy :-)

I wouldn't mind if the IS/Clanners eventually gradually were able to start using mixed matches over say the course of the next two years, but right now - no it doesn't make sense that the clanners would have had time to start using IS mechs, or viceversa.
