Every night trolling players in trial Nova spends game after game killing teammates.
They laugh at anyone that says they will get banned, since obviously it is a new trial bunk account with a bunk name.
On top of having completely unskilled brand new players playing with trial assaults etc...
Either make all trial mechs unable to do ally damage, limit trial mechs to lights only, or both.
It completely destroys the game when 2-3 players are taken out of a fight at the spawn because of griefing. Even if it is on the enemy side it is not a satisfying win knowing it was basically a 9v12.
it seems to be happening close to daily, and lots of people complaining in matches "look out for so and so".
And aside from that - players should have to spend some time getting assaults or heavies, allow trial mechs in practice maps if players want to practice and see if they like heavier mechs - but for vs players - have to earn it.

I think an ingame deliberate teamkiller flagging system would work well. Whenever a player gets a teamkill, allies would be able to give or vote on giving the player a penalty, such as any team damage is reflected to your mech X2. Players in later games would be able to lift this penalty when the player plays properly.
Edit: This should not be done before the CW waiting issue is fixed though.

Keep ScreenCaping and submitting to PGI with date/time of Match.
Hopefully the Devs will see a pattern and start banning IPs instead of just user accounts.
Also, I don't know where you are in the Elo Spectrum, but I've never witnessed anything like this. Not even anything remotely close.

I think having friendly fire enabled in games is more trouble than it is worth. It certainly is in a game that directly rewards kills and damage.
It works in a game like Left 4 Dead because there are only four people, they are together for 45 minutes if they are fast (not 7 or 8), and there is only one goal: surviving to the end. Friendly fire damage is also very, very minor unless you are playing on hard or expert difficulty, and hopefully if you are you have some trigger discipline and know how to stay out of people's lines of fire.
If FF damage were removed from that game, I think it would be a net loss for gameplay. I don't think that about MWO.

It's been ages since I've seen dedicated teamkilling fucktards. I think the most recent one was III TEAM III KILLER III. He gone now doe.

Yeah I am not a pro. So I am probably low elo. Since 90% of the time it seems I play vs good teams while my team splits up and dies. Your point? So what it if only happens at 'low elo'? it happens a lot. And if new players are at low elo - it is a good way to ruin the game experience quickly - and encourage people to decide to NOT pay for a game that allows easy trolling.
Reporting a fake name with a temp account only using trial mechs does what exactly? Sure I do it, and maybe they get banned...and there are ways to play with your IP address I am pretty sure. So they can still do it night after night with a new temp account with trial mechs. And when it is happening the person can play for hours before getting bored, and dont get banned til the next day - so one player can ruin dozens of games for hundreds of players.
If someone only has access to trial mechs they are either brand new, not interested in investing in the game, or not planning on investing in the game - so there is no reason to allow them to be also able to kill off allies easily.
People that have spent money or loads of time are not going to lose the account and money just to troll someone, so it is a non-issue for those types of players.
But those players are not all players, and its the internet - allowing people to troll means some will with great vindictive joy.

Sorry but turning off FF on trials are not healthy. It will create the illusion to new players that FF will not hurt their teamates. Not a good habit to cultivate. It also gives trolls the excuse that "i didn't know". As what most of the more veteran players do, screencap, report. Easy as pie.

lets give new players probably the hardest mech class to start in, i'm sure that'll end up working well.
do you even think before you post?

Banning IPs won't work because those mostly are dynamic and change every day.
The problem is, if there are some griefers you cant stop them without hurting new players and you cant see who is a new player and who is just an alt account (for griefing).
On the other hand, I see very few people doing this mwo is too much of a niche game I think.
You are sure it wasn't just a new player that was overwhelmed by the hud and game and shoot the wrong mech?
