Hey guys,
MWO has changed so that my camera now tracks the crosshair for my arms instead of tracking the torso.
This happened after installing facetrackNOIR, even though I don't have it running and don't want to use it for MWO.
How can I fix this for MWO? I am too used to playing with the camera locked to the torso crosshair and cannot play with this back to front.
I have also posted in the workarounds thread and e-mailed support@mwomercs.com but still no answer after 2 days and especially with CW released I really want to be playing the game right about now...
My only workaround is to play with arm lock on but then I lose the flexibility of arm aiming and the slower movement throws my game off too.
Thanks.

It sounds like the facetrack thing changed a setting in MWO's config.
You should very likely uninstall facetrack then run the file fixer utility in the MWO launcher.

I'm having weird issues with this in CW. My cockpit disappears and I can only see my arms. Seems to only happen on the snow CW map.

PGI needs to add a way to disable TrackIR in game and also disable the TrackIR encryption. I would love to use Freetrack and FaceTrackNoir but they have disabled it by using TrackIR's encryption. MWO still sees the dll FaceTrackNoir uses to communicate with the game and enables the tracking but because of the encryption no interface is created. I am unable to use freelook in game at all unless I uninstall FreeTrack and FaceTrackNoir...
Here is how you fix it

So is there currently no solution to this short of removing facetrackNOIR and the associated DLL's?
By doing that of course I then can't use facetrackNOIR in other games...
I logged a support request so waiting to hear back from the devs.
Or I just try and get used to playing with my viewpoint stuck on the arm crosshair ^^
SNAFU.

I had exactly this problem with TrackIR. In the end I had to unistal TrackIR to get free view back.

Tidy: That's easy, if you want your view to track your arms crosshair, just install facetrackNOIR!
It's freeware. Currently no other way to change it which is what the entire problem and point of this post is about ><
It's just unbelievable that they have this major game setting but you have no way to access or change it - but the game will change it by itself...

a workaround has been posted by another user in my other thread:
http://mwomercs.com/...r-for-mwo-only/
It's not a fix but should at least let me play the game normally again without permanently removing facetrackNOIR.
