put another set of doors around Attacking spawn.
So for example on Vault, you would have the attacking spawn, doors, valleys, doors, defending area.
Then drop the first lance of defenders between the doors. So for Defense on Vault their first round of mechs would be in the valley. Second, third, and fourth respawns all happen in their usual areas.

Put the first door generators outside so the attackers can hit them.
Put the second door generators inside with the defenders.
Set up 2-3 extra turrets per door.
Remove the hills that attackers previously used to hit the generators.
Require at least 1-2 (depending on the map, of the secondary doors to be opened before the generator can be hit on the gun.

This would stop almost all rushes, without the hill to aid their jump only a very select few mechs could even jump over, and even if they do jump they simply cannot hit the generator till the doors are open. If a bunch of lights jump the doors and hit the generator for the secondary doors, they would be swarmed with defenders and thus would have a much greater chance of dying. Then once the doors are open Defenders can move back to the generator.

Then all that needs to happen is some tweaking to hitreg and performance to help with the broken mechs like spiders and firestarters.
