Ok so we know that PGi will more than likely periodically reset the IS map as it would probably grow stale after a while once a couple of factions have dominated it.

So, I had an idea. Before resetting it and starting over. Lets have two big free for all style battles as a weekend tournament. Open the CW queues specifically for these battles and these battles only.

One would be IS vs. Clan on Turk. 48 hours, everyone wanting to jump in and contest the planet does so. Whoever controls the planet at the end of the 48 hour window "wins". So you have your Clan vs. IS and we get to see who actually wins the "invasion".

The second would be the battle for Terra. PGI would get involved in this one since they're Comstar. Everyone can jump in and battle for Terra. Clan vs. Clan, IS vs. IS, Comstar vs. Everyone.

Whatever faction holds it at the end of the 48 hour window wins Terra.

So essentially we have 2 champions crowned each time CW gets reset. I think it would be a fun culmination to "end" CW and have some fun for all factions. What do you guys think?

Only if they award the winning side some cool stuff.
Clans take Terra - All Clan players get 6 million c-bills. Unit that holds it gets some MC.
IS takes Terra - All IS players get 6 million c-bills. Unit that holds it gets some MC awards.
If PGI wins they can take a vacation for a few days.

It would take alot more than 6 Million Cbills to make me put in the insane amount of time it would take to get to Terra, but I would do it in a heart beat for some kind of Special Camo pattern for conquering the i.s. or the reverse for i.s. players. or maybe 20 million Cbills, 6M isnt even enough for a mech.

I think it implied that its an event. so you wouldn't need to fight to terra, just attack it regardless.

There would be no "getting to"

This would be the "end game". So it wouldn't matter where planetary placements were. It would just be a cool "end of season crown the champion" type deal.

I'd be all for adding some cool rewards also. Winnign faction/side gets a cbill reward, cockpit items, maybe a custom camo, forum badge, stuff like that. Maybe even a small MC amount or free mech bay.

Like to see some before tukayyid as well. Like for capitals (ex. Battle of Luthien or more likely Huntess lol)

I doubt that 14th Black Crusade will went that far, but who knows.
