Don't be petty, leave that kind of stuff to fedcom. 228 did more than their share while they were with us, and now they're off fighting clans on a much more desperate front. Who knows, they might sign up with us again someday.

Really? You've not seen me there, because our leaders were there to coordinate, no need for all of us to go there. And you can rightfully call me angry, but "full of tears"? Please...

When I am attacking Kurita world, there are mostly Davions and FRR players fighting their battles. I know Kuritans can put up a good fight with their premades, but low numbers are what takes away your chances for victory. While you may be winning against 1 pug on Clan world, we can easily muster two more groups taking away what you conquer. Perhaps a better coordination between units?

This is an abuse we are aware of. There is a serious charge against Steiner for defending a Kurita planet from the Clans and purposely mass going AFK so that Kurita loses the planet. We are investigating the matter and hope to take it up with PGI when we have all the evidence.
In gaming parlance, this is known as an "exploit."

I think "butthurt" would be the right definition.

Worth mentioning that the 228th went to Steiner and Steiner immediately held its borders completely intact for the first round in 8 days.

Dracs have only 2 fronts they are fighting on now - and lost worlds on both of them.

That's pretty much the beginning, middle and end of the topic right there.

o7 228th. Way to pack the whupass with you. Clanners will be crapping 228th infantry boots for the next week.

Clanners were saying 'Ha ha! Your bases are belong to us Freebirth!'

Now it's all 'Gah, how do I pilot this mech with a boot up my ass?/

How about we stop all the bitching, all this is doing is making us look dysfunctional. Most HK units coordinate attack/defends on our TS. We all know this.

This thread has turned into troll bait and isn't helping anything.

So none of the other Steiner units had anything to do with securing their borders?

Two fronts? Where did you learn to count? Oh, I forgot, Davies don't need to worry about numbers with the insurmountable Zerg force at their fingertips.

If that was the case then the best defense would be to not defend at all. That would actually mean that no planets could ever be conquered again. Defenders would just do the old good no show trick and keep their planet.

The problem with that assumption is that you're basically saying people just plain wouldn't play the game. Fights would keep happening because people inherently still want to play the game. If nobody queued up to defend, ever, nobody would end up playing the game. So I think that's a totally invalid argument.

Steiner forces are exceptional, they were just fighting on 4 fronts at once, 5 fronts early on.

Kurita got a ceasefire with FRR and so only had Davion and Smoke Jaguar. Though now you've got the Ghost Bears knocking on the door too. Have fun with that. I'm sure you'll do just fine against 2 Clans and the Sword of Davion buried hilt deep in your back.

Let us know how that works out for you.

There is no 'Davion Zerg'. We are a bastion for loyal, honorable soldiers and treat our house units and mercenaries very well and as such have been consistently victorious on 3 fronts from the first day. We have a large army because we are worthy of fighting for and a trusted employer.

If Wal-Mart's PR department took root on Davion, this is what it would sound like.

If everyone spent a day playing sitting in queues as Davion, they'd know that we really don't get many ghost drops. We queue up and we wait.

And wait.

And wait.

We get a match.

We usually win.

Then we queue up and we wait.

EDIT: Speaking of factions that farm ghost drops...

Well, putting my two cents in as a Kurita pug grunt. Bangor was getting hammered, from what battles I saw. Waves of 12 man Smoke jaguars against a faction mishmash of pugs. If there's an organized Kurita group, I sure didn't see it there tonight. Then again, i did call it quits after my 3rd straight match of being 5 minute rushed so...

Don't pay any attention to my posts though. seriously. I'm 2 days into the game and ignorant of any politics or actual meta-play issues. I'm just saying what i saw tonight.

No a pug's eye view is a great thing to have, and I think hits on the same note a lot of the 3 IS factions facing clanners are saying. Since anyone from the IS can queue to fight clans and vice versa, planets between the two are the place to be if you just want to get into a match and don't really care who it is/what effect it'll have.

You also have to consider that clan mechs tend to be more homogenous than IS mechs are. They can't configure engines like IS mechs can so everything clans run short of the heaviest dire whales tends to range roughly 70-100kph. That's a big difference compared to IS mechs that can range between 50-150+kph. The result tends to be that when it comes to pug groupings, the IS has a much harder time staying together as a group than a clan one does

When you have those effects intersecting, I think you get what we see now. There are a lot of organized units on both ends fighting, but what they do is inconsequential for CW compared to the 4-5+ pug teams matching up for every premade. Because of the design of clan/is mechs for homogenization/customization to a degree they'll likely tend to win (not to mention map design on boreal playing heavily to clan strengths in ranged weaponry) more often and take planets consistently.

All that being said Consumingclam, there are a lot of great kurita units recruiting if you don't want to solo drop. Go get teamspeak and put house-kurita.enjinvoice.com in the address bar. There's a lot of units there and if you hop into a channel and introduce yourself I'm sure they'd be glad to have another player with them.

Nigh'ts Scorn defended Bangor several times last night against -SC- and SA smoke jaguar premades. I don't think we lost against them once...
