DISCLAIMER: This isn't a complaint thread, and I'm not trying to solve any existing issue; I just thought up this idea while reading over the complaint threads and figured I'd share.

Imagine a map in which there are three lanes, completely disconnected from one another (save one exception, mentioned soon), with three generator complexes (multiple buildings), one at the end of each lane. In the defender's base at the end of the lanes, the three generators' areas are divided into subsections in the base by gates, and in order to open said gates, you have to destroy a certain percentage of the two generators flanking the singular gate. For example, destroy 50% of the generator-buildings on either side of one gate, or 100% of the buildings on a single side.

It would create an interesting dynamic of early-game lance-vs-lance combat, and as the game progresses, battles get progressively larger.

Since we're throwing out random thoughts - mobile field bases that must be hunted down and destroyed in order to access the Orbital Gun's generator. And have the MFB's actually be mobile, so defenders can protect them.

Are we talking MW3-style MFB's? As in the variants that can perform emergency field-repairs on battlemechs?
