627, you can stick 2 PPC's in the torso, each PPC takes up two slots and the torso has 4 laser slots.

Close. The torsos have a total of 4 beam hard points, so you can mount any 4 energy weapons. One PPC in each side torso weighs 14 tons (the real limiting factor) and takes 3 crit spaces in each of RT and LT.

Those are the weapons equipped, not the total hardpoints available. In the mechlab video, the Hunchback had a few more hardpoints than equipped weapons. In the leaked video the Jenner had one more CT missile hardpoint than it was using. So from these I can assume that a larger mech like a CAT would have more than 1 missile hardpoint per pod. Most of my theoretical designs I'm running through Solaris Skunk Werks go on this theory. (So much empty space inside that thing. Like it was designed for an XL engine!)

NEG! those are the hard points for the founders mech witch is the C1 "yah i had a typo it is the C1 not C4 my bad" and i know this cuz when i bought my founders pack i picked the cat an when i did it said what varient of the cat it would b so i went an bought a normal one right after that so i could start geting used to it an figure out some good load outs for it so that when they give us our founders mechs i already know what to do with it

Founders mechs are identical except for the C-bill boost and paint job.

Well the Atlas AS7-D according to the Battletech Wiki has limited Omnitech capabilities so maybe there will be some options to modify it instead of being restricted by the hardpoints.
