Greetings!

Just wondering who, if any on here, might remember the old days of MW3/MW4 in the BattleTech Universe league; a stock, FFP, no respawn format planetary league with heavy emphasis on fun & RP.

Those that may have played back then might remember a certain Merc who got his kicks plucking feathers from Jade Falcon 'mechs, namely myself: GDL_Havoc, of the Gray Death Legion.

"Havoc" was taken, and for some reason my GDL_Havoc tag I reserved on here isn't letting me use the forums, so my alternate persona will have to due for this. I ran with folks such as GDL_Highriot, GDL_Elwhafox, GDL_Lynx, GDL_Sniper & GDL_Rebel, just to name a few.

So that said, please chime in if you remember the battles of BTU league and care to catch up a bit and reconnect, do pull up a chair and have a drink on my tab. Especially any JFc_ pilots. I figure I owe some of of y'all a few drinks after all the times we slagged each others 'mechs.

Thanks all, take care and I look forwards to seeing fellow veterans of days gone by on here soon.

Used to play in the BTU during MW3. Callsign was Leviathan and was XO of Ace Darwin's Whipits. Don't ever recall spending too much time fighting against other Merc Corps but I'm sure there were a few in there at one point or another. We were mainly used for advanced assaults before the big boys came in to help try to prepare reports on what they would be facing.

Also was CO of Outworlds Alliance prior to us packing up and heading to Solarius for Merc duty.

Nice to see there are still some BTU'ers around.

I dropped with Havoc a few times and Highriot too. NWH also played in BTU for a while. I think we had quite a few long chats about the Merc Bonding Commission. Good to see a familiar face. I went by NHW_Kiel_Randor back then. I was CO of NWH in BTU

<--- JFc_Frantic

I remember those clashes with you GDL guys. You guys and WiE where our primary opponents. I have especially fond memories from the late mw3 days when I was beyond active... Hell I think I was saKhan around that time :)

Well in a few months we will return to those glory days once again!

<S>!

The nostalgia bomb that just went off in my face is awesome and lemony fresh in nature!

Kiel, It's awesome to see you again my good man! I hope life has been treating you well all these years? I hope to catch up with you more soon if we have the opportunity, it's always great catching up with long-time allies and friends!

And jumpin' juicy fried chicken it's Frantic! How've you been man? You talk to any of your crew from back in those days? I still remember a few MW4 drops against you guys after BTU league finally swapped over to MW4 that were downright epic and just more fun than anyone should be able to have with their clothes on.

So you guys know, I've added my MSN contact on my profile, if you have MSN and care to catch up, please do hit me up when you can. That said: I work nights, and 12 hour shifts, so if I don't reply, I'm not home. Just a heads up.

Hope to catch up with more BTU veterans soon and look forwards to seeing who else might still be out there.

Y'all take care and I'll see you dirtside.

Was part of it during the MW3 time, in a merc unit called The Dragons (TD_). But I can't remember if I even had one battle. ^^

Hails to all warriors, lol used to be, CB, ASF, CG, SJ and many many more in my day, mostly MW3 and then some MW4 lost my taste for battle and headed towards the maidens, now my eye is once again on the prize...many many names most often tom_tom and I know I dropped with and against many here. Looking forward to it again!

Yeah, I was part of that crowd as well, though I couldn't run Armageddon Unlimited, so I had to run my Blood Wolves, instead. I remember the guy who ran House Davion was a super-cool cat, really nice, gave us our first contract to go pirate hunting in the periphery, I developed my very first fully planned operation there, so I could actually earn the money. We were doing great, getting really close to the end of the operation, had a few fights that worked out pretty well, and then Bailey did something to us that was really friggin' stupid, I caught him on it, and he banned my unit from play. It was a load of garbage, and I still hate him for it, but the game was actually a good deal of fun, the interface and web site were very well built.

I don't remember what the stupidity was over, but I know I wasn't wrong; he just hauled out the banstick, anyway. I also don't remember the name of the guy running House Davion, I just know he inspired loyalty in me and gave me a reason and a desire to want to build and execute the plan I did.

<S> Pada!

My man, how goes the pirate life? Glad to see you're still alive and kicking too sir.

Hope to catch up with you soon. Be good (or be good at it, whichever suits your fancy).

Awesome to see more and more people resurfacing. Keep it up!

Same here my good man. Me and my Highlander (I hope, I hope, I hope...) will be bringing the love one Gauss Rifle round at a time.

Look forwards to it, I know I will.

Frantic, do you and your boys play any MW4 any more? I'd love to get some drops in for old times sake.and to catch up some. Let me know and we'll coordinate a meetup some time in the near future if you'd like?

Just let me know on here.

<S> Take 'er easy.

I went by a similar moniker in that league--ELH_Brakkyn_BG--and was the CO of Eridani Light Horse. I was also the only member of said unit.

I dropped as a mercenary for the Rim Collective (RC) quite often. Internal problems led us to being owned and eventually conquered.

Wasn't there a big stink when CJF invaded Terra and won with almost no effort?

In case anyone is still paying attention to this topic, I'm a member of CJF (and we play tuesday nights on gameranger, feel free to msg frantic or me for details), and I don't think we conquered Terra. I was part of a raid that we launched on it (and lost) on some settings that really negated the clan advantage (one of those swamp maps, with lots of small lakes and low hills, with crap visibility. *sigh*). We were preparing our forces to launch a real assault when the league went down the toilet.

Another JFc member here. I remember dropping against GDL in BTU. Talon was our Khan at the time if that rings a bell. I believe we reached Terra in BTU though the raid Ultramek is mentioning was one we launched in VnR which I think GDL was also in.
