Sorry for being inconsiderate but it isn't that difficult. I got mine from mostly solo drops, because pugging results in rushing and that results in less than 50 match points.

The key is to do damage and get assists. Lasers are very bad now due to hit reg so try gausses, LRMs, streaks or SRMs. Bottom line is that every defence mission should be a point towards your counter. You may have to rebuild some of your Mechs to do this though, which isn't abad thing by itself because CW is here to stay.

I almost wish I hadn't. But I don't want to lose out now when I'm one point away. If only I had one more day on the timer.

Edit: All that said, I -love- CW. I'm having a blast doing 12 v 12 drops with my unit. It just happened to be that bad timing resulted in my unit all going to sleep and leaving me at 19/20 points, which I've been having a wretched time getting by myself.

29 matches, only 4 with below 80, so even in rush you cna grab the score, but you need to be able to crush a few mechs fast enough. (mostly 2+)

Dont participate the fighting until the waiting time is below or at least close to 10 minutes - no reason to hate something you dont care for ;)

Just had a great counter attack match! HINT bring massed LRMs and Tag/Narc and focus the enemy ECMs and push front with assault dakka OMG beautiful! Obviously its only one trick but it's definitely a good one to put the pressure on a flank,winning an Attack /counter Attack on kills is so rewarding!

Not gonna get the tier 3 done, wait times are just too long. Less than one drop per hour played? This is ridiculous...

E1: Well, just had a drop occuring. Client crashed during loading screen, something new. Upon restart, no option to rejoin. What a mess.

E2: So, it rejoined me when i tried to take adifferent cotnract. WHAT.A.COMPLETE.MESS.

E3: Won match that i rejoined. Out of 24 players, by matchscore 3 were eligible for the challenge. As i said, i WON that match. Get out of the match and there is a screen that tells me "DEFEAT, 0 LP".

It is actually not that i would have expected anything else from PGI/Jarhead, but i mean i was at 15 matches and kinda close..

Get you win quick on attack (whatever it takes). Get your points on defense.

Have dropped 50+ matches since it came out and have yet to have over a 7 min wait. Are you guys with long waits responding to attack/defend orders or just clicking attack or defend in the top right corner?

Most of my matches are worth a point, but it takes so long to get them I think I have 8 matches played, 7 of them scoring...

Oh well.

Next time you want to complete a challenge or not wait in cue for 45 minutes. Go to HouseSteiner.com in TS3 and come find the 21st Ghost Legion. We always have active players and at least a 12 man running drops. We could always use extra players. Team play is the way to go in CW. I think the longest cue we have had is around 10 minutes.

Well if you take down 48 enemy mechs taking down primary target is pretty easy.

I'm a solo player. I've faced at least 5-6 12mans on this list. My win lose ration is probably about 4-5 losses to 1 win and yet I've made it.

Notice that the only non qualifier I had was an empty run against turrets with no enemies. Also notice the other two non qualifiers were after I've completed the challenge and didn't care anymore.

Same debate as with the Victor challenge. Some people just suck. That's why there's multiple stages to the challenge so people get something even if they don't complete it. That's why its called a challenge in the first place. Otherwise it would be CW giveaway. Or "participation trophy" night.

Wasn't hard at all. I dropped about half my drops in PUGs and there was not one PUG match where I didn't hit my 80 points. The only sub 80 point matches I had were with my Unit because there we focus 100% on the competitive game and look for wins, not points.

Honestly, my lowest match score in a PUG was I think 156 and my highest was 295.

This was the easiest challenge ever. You didn't even have to win, of course I actually do some damage during matches...

It does kinda suck that this contest was on a beta feature which has a lot of bugs to work out, but they needed as many people to play CW as possible to get an idea of what needed fixing. So look at your participation as aiding PGI in hammering out CW Alpha Launch.

Compare this to the last contest where the trick was surviving to the end of the match...

I tried CW on Saturday and only managed 3 matches in 4 hours. The first match was a lot of fun even though we lost. I didn't feel like I did much, but I still ended up with 143 points.

Second match over an hour later had no defenders... so 10 points. :(

Third match over an hour after that was a team of seriously bad derps who charged solo at the entrenched Jade Falcon 12-man and died predictably horribly. I still managed 57 points as one of the 2-3 people on the team who actually tried to coordinate, but there's just not much you can do when 75% of your team insists on committing suicide as fast as possible.

After that I said screw it, this challenge is ridiculous because the CW matchmaker is so borked. Probably could have made more than 9 million c-bills playing in the solo queue had I wanted to, but instead took a break this weekend.

To be fair:

Even against, or on, teams that were *trying* to just zerg rush the win, which worked a few times, I still managed a match score of 80.

And I am terrible at this game, or so I have been told by reliable sources.

I think there was only one match I got into where I did not get to 80, which was due to a Clan team rushing the generator in nothing but Timberwolves - literally, 12 Madcats as their first drop. I might have even hit 80 on that one.

Didn't hate the challenge, but I find many people instinctively (our gamer instinct) push to complete the entire challenge for max reward. That being said the amount you need to play + the early state of the game mode = everyone I know who completed their 20 games is now fully burned out on CW. It's not good to associate a game with burnout and a very 'grindy' feeling.

I am sorry most of you apparently never saw a good Mass ECM light drop before you can't get locks with that many ecm mechs on top of each other cancelling out BAP or ECM. Also the whole Zerg rush is a insult to players its no longer about big stompy robots combat its about ignoring the enemy team and killing generator.

And it is not about the "get minimum 80 matchscore" part that is hard, it is about the GET ANY GAME AT ALL part.
