The tonnage limit ought to be changed to 250 instead of 240, at least temporarily.

Currently and Inner Sphere player can choose to take two 100 ton mechs, and use the remaining two spots for Locusts.

Clan players don't have the option to take a 20 ton mech, as the Mist Lynx is the lowest tonnage available (25 tons).

A temporary change until a 20 ton Clan mech is available would allow for more variation among drop decks that Clan players take because they would have the option of sacrificing their other two mechs in order to bring two Dire Wolf mechs.

Clanners already bring TW, TW, SC, KF which are the best mechs in the game per ton.

Arguably, the tonnage limits should vary from mission to mission, forcing you to not crutch on some cheese but rather have tonnage inefficiencies.

You need no Dire Wolf to deal with 100 ton IS mechs.

... why not make it easier for clans
... let them have 400 tons weight limit but keep the 240 tons weight limit that inner sphere could bring into battle
... in the end it´s the inner sphere which wins every battle then
... u don´t think so?
... haha
... u will see ;)

No, no and NO! Just plan your deck carefully, and you'll be up for the task.

No, 240 is a good tonnage limit which make you bring a little of everything.

The tonnage limit will be variable later on. The max tonnage limit will vary depending on the planet you are traveling to defend. This is good because it means you can't get too comfy running one drop deck non stop from now until the end of time.

Come on man ...who needs three timbers? Hardly anyone drops their second one now as it is.

yes and 250 emans TBR TBR TBR lynx MUAHAHAHAHAAAA; dat change would be the pain for everyone.

actually tonnage limit should be 240t, + 10 tons if a faction has less than 5 planets.
and it should be 240t - 5 tons per 50 planets it owns.

Some kind of softbalancing depending on how CW runs, but generally speaing of clans or IS is not really helping.

but there Posted Imageis always a match where you could need more timbers ^^

Why don't change instead the IS tonnage to 260, and the Clans to 220 in the same time? Clans have flight over a year long, till they reached the IS.. But they brought the same weight of weaponary, as the IS, which are on those planets since centuries long?

(Ye.. 220 = TW + TW + SCR !+ HBR ! + 70 tons ~ IFR/MLX or ADR/KFX)

The Timberwolf can go toe to toe with an atlas. your argument is invalid.

That would be fun only if it was tied to what is actually happening between factions and teams operating within CW. It is bad enough that we got an arbitrary map which does not account for player numbers or skill. Adding more arbitrary variables would make the matches feel (even more) staged.

Hmmm, that could work actually... Though I think -5 tons per 50 is a bit too much myself. Think about everyone but the FFR and CC...
