I FEEL THAT THE LYNX AND KIT FOX AND OTHER JJ MECHS SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO JUMP BEHIND THE GENERATOR AND USE THE STUCK IN MAP PART TO AVOID DAMAGE WHILE DAMAGING THE GENERATOR. DEFENDER SHOULDN'T HAVE TO BRING JJ MECHS TO JUMP UP BEHIND THERE TO COUNTER THIS HACKY GAME EXPLOIT.

Seen 3 time now by various clans organization.
Just poor game design.

This is being exploited by IS teams as well. It is a known exploit that the people using it are trying to justify as being a legitimate tactic.

Hopefully they make the actual objective a version of 'out of bounds' that destroys anyone who gets on it. It is already too easy to rush the objective with either assaults or lights and ignore enemy team. Lights get there faster than can be countered and assaults can just ignore enough damage to get there as a group and destroy the objective.

As far as I've seen, this is used by more IS teams than Clans, but that's just my experience. As far as the artillery/air strikes go, I thought they didn't do damage.

Defenders should bring JJ mechs, clan teams have 24 timbers usually, so I don't really see the problem.

It's a known and acknowledged exploit. Defenders shouldn't have to do jack squat to keep people from doing it other than screenshot and report. Hopefully everyone doing it is banned.

heres a screenshot of a cheap, exploiting, @#$%bag JJing into the spot where they cant be harmed except by arty. they were just about to lose, so pulled this crap to get a win. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY! every little punk kid knows this crap move now to get cheap wins when its not deserved. 1 spider shouldnt be able to win the entire game by himself while being invincible. Shame on you GroPouet. You're proof you can win and still be ********.

Strikes do not damage the Generator for the Objective. Our group has tested this on day 1 when we had an attack with no defenders.

The Objective has what seems to be 1,000 HP, as well.

Either I or a teammate has managed to kill every JJ mech that has tried to hide in there.

yup just happened the last match i was in, painfully obvious they had several jj lights to exploiting this vulnerability...
might be better just to completely cover that space in between the gen and the gun if the lights do get on top they can sit at the very top of the gen and still be able to shoot down on it but no real advantage they have right now as it would be a good fix for crap gameplay

might have just been more sensible to have built the thing properly so there isn't any expolite from the word go, its well known that if there is a way to exploit someone some ******** will do it, usually the kind that rage at noob teams, and daddy always beat at basketball in the backyard

I don't see how it's an exploit, if you have JJs you can get up there too and kill them, done at least 5 times.

If you don't well, get some ;)

It's hardly an exploit.

On Sulfuric map, best spot to be is have a sniper or any mech with weapons of 300m range or better stand on the rock lip by the canyon wall behind the two turrets, and you have a clear and unobstructed view of any JJ mech that lands back there, and can easily be dispatched. Did it many times in my gauss Jagermech. I must have killed a half dozen mechs or more by now.

The Winter map, the view is a tad obstructed by the generator, but if you stand at the concrete wall to the back between both turrets, you can still aim at them no problem with high mounted weapons like Jagermechs or shoulder mounted PPCs on a Thunderbolt.

Lastly, if those two back turrets are still up, they DO shoot and HIT any mechs that are up there. I have died twice that way in my Jenners.

Ergo, hardly an exploit.

On the other hand, what weapons engineer leaves a critical component of an orbital gun exposed like that? Easy fix, put armor plating across the top part of the gun, and leave the back exposed for the objective.

Lastly, artillery and air strikes do work on the cannon's generator, but deal very little damage. They don't work on the gate generators though.
