A defense drop deck is not the same as an attack drop deck.

Sure maybe you have a mech or two that can do both, but mostly you will want to trade out a few here and there.
As an IS pilot I find most of those builds to not be optimal for either role in CW.

While some of the chassis are ok, the builds are not. The list is simply a regurgitated skirmish/assault meta, playing any of those builds as is in CW will almost certainly lead to failure.

Always be very careful about following advice from your enemy/opponents, that is what that list is, advice from a Clanner to IS pilots about what mechs the IS should fight with ;>

Most CW mechs both offensive and defensive require much more armor on the rear torso as well as full armor on the legs.

Offensive mechs do not require high PPFLD alphas, they need high Damage output builds.
IS LRM's rule at Turret busting and gen busting. They are also highly effective at stopping clan zergs when used correctly, however do not BOAT lrms'.

Even defense based mechs benefit from a more even armor distribution.
Defense mechs do benefit from high alpha PPFLD builds. But with the improved hit reg laser vomit is viable.
Speed trumps! "The engine is just as important as the main gun" ,what Guderian said in the 1940's is as true here as then.

XL's in anything but lights is a bad thing.
Jump jets are a good thing
BAP is a good thing
ECM is so so
TAG is so so
NARC is dead weight outside well organized drops, even then it's use is limited

Radar derp, shock absorb all better than seismic.

HOT running mechs are mostly a bad idea
LOW ammo high output mechs do ok on attack. but not defense.

CW and the meta that goes with it is still evolving and ever changing, but it really is very different than Assault/skirmish/conquest meta.

The mechs/variants per chassis are the key (i.e. the tonnage efficiency post), not the builds themselves.

On defense it's about the frontloaded damage, though on offense it's more or less how fast you can go while shooting at the same time.
