Can PGI put this into the game or are they planning to do this later? Plus, instead of just dyeing can there be a short seen much like start up were you grab the lever between your legs and pull? Preferably like the reveal trailer.

I saw someone I was watching after I died had "Eject [K]" (or something like that) on the right-hand side of the screen along with their consumables, but I was not aware it had become an option.

It's only in CW and it has a purpose. Since the Invasion game mode has limited respawns the enemy team could deny you the rest of your drop deck by destroying your weapons and possibly removing a leg. The Eject button works as a means of suiciding a mech that no longer has any tactical value to be able to drop in one of your remaining mechs.

If it is only in CW, I must have seen something that should not have been there as I have yet to play any CW matches.
And of course it has a purpose, so long as it is not used incorrectly.

Game is a game, not a sim.
Your suggestion adds zero to the GAME.
No thanks.

because only sims have fancy animations
No.. Because I can think of a hundred things, off the top of my head, that make more sense to players (I.e. that improve the game) and to the devs (I.e that are more likely to generate revenue) than this kind of aesthetic sugar.

Yea! not like they can't focus on something else then get back to this later when it wouldn't get in the way...oh wait.

Right. That's the best way to maximise dev resources.. Bounce them from pillar to post.
I was wrong, thanks for straightening me out.

Using the environment was a favorite tactic of mine back in PnP days
