You know you want to be those sleek sexy elderly communications majors, dressed like wizards, living in mystery and seclusion. I bid a level three against your best battalion to get them in the game.

I'm not surprised Comstar won't be player joinable given their political dynamic in the Inner Sphere. Although they would make for some interesting gameplay. It would be cool to see the devs mechs in Comguard colour schemes :)

Wouldn't we have to wait roughly 3 years before it would be an option anyway? So who knows what the future of MWO has in store for us.

This.

Wouldn't make much sense making C* a playable faction. There is nothing for them todo atm.

I would like to see Comstar as being playable. :P It would be interesting to see the what the Dev's have in store. :)

Clearly ROM is doing its job right when people think the ComGuards aren't fighting :)

Comstar's role in the galaxy precludes the possibility of engagement; their service is far too essential to jeopardize and they aren't stupid enough to actually launch an attack on one of the great houses (at the moment anyway.)

Indeed, up until the latter part of Operation Revival (Clan Invasion), ComStar's offensives were very much covert. Think Allied Powers vs. Soviet Union during the Cold War. Currently, ComStar's biggest role is (mostly) subtle nudging, giving preferential rates to those they want aid, and imposing restrictions on those they want to hinder. The best way to conquer the galaxy is to convince everyone you're not a threat to them.

Comstar will spawn Word of Blake eventually, so you better know what you're asking for. But don't you worry, the Clans will take good.care of them. Just keep the gates to Terra open at midnight and good riddance hehe :)

The phone cops, man, never trust the phone cops. Johnny Fever taught me that.
