We could really use a live news ticker that indicates wins and losses on various planets. Including unit names or ticker symbols would also be very neat. This would add serious immersion and also bragging rights.

It can also be used to broadcast that people are needed for defense or assault. This could easily improve excitement for both Mechwarrior and for community warfare.

"xyz is under assault"
"THK needs defenders"
"ABC is lost"
"HYO is lost, Marik forces are trying to retake it"
