My complaints are that their metric doesn't work in over half the modes because all it cares about is damage dealt. When you have 2 out of 4 modes where dealing damage has no correlation to performance (and 1 of the remaining 2 where it is quite possible to win the match for your team without dealing a single point of damage), you need to come up with a better metric. Apparently I shouldn't bother trying to win in invasion or conquest because doing so doesn't get me match points. I should just suicide run so as to deal max possible damage because that is what PGI wants me to do.

I appreciate you situation. Believe me I have been there plenty of times when capping and winning the games gets you no game points. However, I still believe that you should adapt to the current situation change you playing method to win and achieve a higher math score.
Don’t be victim be a winner.
p.s I was not singling you out with my original post, It was a very generalised point. Nevertheless, I still believe too many people who play MWO complain about receiving free stuff.

First off, please calm down. I know this game can be frustrating. Trust me, all of us here know this EXTREMELY well. I would highly recommend getting in a unit, a good one, and play cw that way. Pugging it is a pretty bad idea. Attacking is not that bad. My unit, Winnowing Fire, was playing with a 10 of Wolf Spiders on defence. We lost that match. One generator was lost in the first "rush". The second and third were lost in the second "rush", and then they finished the omega generator off. With all of that said, I got a match score of 124. I had over 1100 damage, 7 kills, 16 component destruction, a boatload of assists. All it takes is good communication and decent skill, but there will be some games where you literally cannot win. It's okay.

Some of us don't have any idea where to find a unit, nor necessarily such regular schedules as to be able to commit to one. Once again the system is badly implemented and badly thought out, requiring extensive and error prone activity outside the game to accomplish anything. The friend system is so badly implemented, with no way to add people from a match you just played; the only thing to do is sit there with a pad and paper and transcribe and hope you don't screw it up.

It is if you are always on offense vs clans. You are lucky to get in range to hit with some LRMs (if you can even get a lock on anything) before their huge range advantage coupled with the map design kills you.

LRMs? when attacking?... against the clans?
I say you give the thundergod-9s a go (with a healthy dose of ERPPCs of course)... you'll be surprised!

CW, I got 6 so far out of a lot of tries. Of my owned Mechs, some I just do not use. No Locusts, tried 2 Awesomes, PB is out, 8Q ranged sniping is good. Done well with Centurions, Griffin-1N and Hunchback-GI built according to quirks. Been using either Cataphract or Stalker Trials as filler, sometimes the Firestarter or Jenner.

Go get on the Drakes TeamSpeak hub... they should have one. I hang out on the Steiner hub and just coordinate what planets we are dropping on to get a close proximity to being in a unit. When we can group up by Faction instead of just Unit in the next few months, it will really change the face of CW.
