There is way to many people complaining about what they didn't get and not enought people being thankful for what they have recived. It's about time we started behaving like big boys.

Yeah **** match score. I kept us at 4 points captured for over 90% of that conquest match but because I didn't deal much damage since I was capping my match score is 6. **** you PGI.

My complaints are that their metric doesn't work in over half the modes because all it cares about is damage dealt. When you have 2 out of 4 modes where dealing damage has no correlation to performance (and 1 of the remaining 2 where it is quite possible to win the match for your team without dealing a single point of damage), you need to come up with a better metric. Apparently I shouldn't bother trying to win in invasion or conquest because doing so doesn't get me match points. I should just suicide run so as to deal max possible damage because that is what PGI wants me to do.

Hey Viod,

I appreciate you situation. Believe me I have been there plenty of times when capping and winning the games gets you no game points. However, I still believe that you should adapt to the current situation change you playing method to win and achieve a higher math score.

Don’t be victim be a winner.

p.s I was not singling you out with my original post, It was a very generalised point. Nevertheless, I still believe too many people who play MWO complain about receiving free stuff.

This is really pissing me off. I just did a match with 1 kill and 6 assists, 207 damage, and I only got a score of 29. The match before, I did 48 damage (walked into the entire enemy force at first contact in a locust) with no assists or kills and that got me 46 match points. I think it's just a random number generator.

It counts every action you take - not just damage and kills

Which would include such actions as Spotting, Hit and Run, and the like.

I DID get one, the Lump of Coal cockpit item. Finally all my 'got a rock' posts are true!

I still have to try for more Invasion but this one I got better than Thanksgiving. In addition to CB, GXP, Consumables & Naughty items, I finally won a Mechbay plus my Lump of Coal proving I never lied about what PGI gave me for Christmas.

Not even going to bother trying for the CW matches. I am not clan and no matter what I always get attacking vs clans, so every single match is over before it starts. I have never even SEEN these new generators since they were added, as no one on my team ever gets into visual range of them before being destroyed. Especially in regard to this event, I have never broken 20 match points in a CW match, never mind 80. The game mode is poorly designed, poorly implemented, poorly thought out, and just plain ****, and is nothing but a waste of time on my part.

First off, please calm down. I know this game can be frustrating. Trust me, all of us here know this EXTREMELY well. I would highly recommend getting in a unit, a good one, and play cw that way. Pugging it is a pretty bad idea. Attacking is not that bad. My unit, Winnowing Fire, was playing with a 10 of Wolf Spiders on defence. We lost that match. One generator was lost in the first "rush". The second and third were lost in the second "rush", and then they finished the omega generator off. With all of that said, I got a match score of 124. I had over 1100 damage, 7 kills, 16 component destruction, a boatload of assists. All it takes is good communication and decent skill, but there will be some games where you literally cannot win. It's okay.

Some of us don't have any idea where to find a unit, nor necessarily such regular schedules as to be able to commit to one. Once again the system is badly implemented and badly thought out, requiring extensive and error prone activity outside the game to accomplish anything. The friend system is so badly implemented, with no way to add people from a match you just played; the only thing to do is sit there with a pad and paper and transcribe and hope you don't screw it up.

It is if you are always on offense vs clans. You are lucky to get in range to hit with some LRMs (if you can even get a lock on anything) before their huge range advantage coupled with the map design kills you.

LRMs? when attacking?... against the clans?

I say you give the thundergod-9s a go (with a healthy dose of ERPPCs of course)... you'll be surprised!

Probably some PGI unique camo.

CW, I got 6 so far out of a lot of tries. Of my owned Mechs, some I just do not use. No Locusts, tried 2 Awesomes, PB is out, 8Q ranged sniping is good. Done well with Centurions, Griffin-1N and Hunchback-GI built according to quirks. Been using either Cataphract or Stalker Trials as filler, sometimes the Firestarter or Jenner.

Go get on the Drakes TeamSpeak hub... they should have one. I hang out on the Steiner hub and just coordinate what planets we are dropping on to get a close proximity to being in a unit. When we can group up by Faction instead of just Unit in the next few months, it will really change the face of CW.
