Ppcs Hitreg Repeatable Issue

Running dual PPCs, if you fire one then fire the second shortly after, like within .5 seconds, the second one never registers a hit when it hits. If you fire them together, or spaced further apart, like 1 second they will register but closely spaced shots always result in the 2nd PPC not registering.

Wanted to add

This is repeatable and happens with Inner Sphere PPCs, Inner Sphere ERPPCs, and Clan ERPPCs. It is an issue with having one in flight when you fire the second I am fairly certain.

Good find. I appreciate the heads up because I was scratching my head about why some of my shots seemed to land but didn't register and took it as just general hitreg issues and had no idea there were specific repeatable circumstances to have it manifest.

I run dual Clan ER PPCs and can confirm what you said too. I hope they fix it soon.

It's only a visual bug. The reticule and enemy damage readout feedback animations both have a cooldown around half a second. When you land a second hit right before the animations end you don't get the proper visual feedback. You can reproduce this in the testing grounds with ppcs and/or ballistics. The damage is still dealt.

I've noticed that the ANIMATION does this, but I'm fairly certain it actually registers damage. Anyone else the same as me?

I am 100% certain the 2nd is NOT doing damage and it is not a visual bug, but thanks for your uninformed post.

Watching the paper doll, it is clear when this happens it is only 1 ppc doing damage.

10 damage isn't much, and might not change the color on the paper doll on a moderately armored target. It was my understanding that this was just an issue with the crosshair. I don't doubt the possibility of their being a problem, but would like to know how you're testing this.

its does and its not 10, its 10 pinpoint and 2.5 each side for clan, you can clearly see it flash when you hit, but thanks for debating a repeatable and consistent bug.

Testing through probably 200 matches+ over the last week and watching it in combat, using ONLY ppc mechs all matches. I can fraps and post for the nay sayers if you would like definitive proof that you are wrong about only animation bug....

No need to get snippy kid, I'm asking these questions because there's no way PGI will investigate if you can't convince a few forumites. The truth is that hitreg is the excuse most people use when they can't hit something, so you should expect people to be skeptical. Obviously there are hitreg issues in this game (especially since CW), but people are going to expect some evidence beyond your nerd rage if you claim to have found a cause.

Post a video, and submit a ticket. Making sure the evidence in indisputable is the fastest way to get it fixed if it is in fact a problem. I say it's the crosshairs, because I frequently get kills without red crosshairs in my TDR-9S with 4 EPPC's that I fire 2 and 2.

Look, its not that I have issues destroying people in game, ask anyone playing on the Brocolli Cluster planet lately, they will know I am lethal with ppcs as are my clan mates.

The problem is that they require you to play around a problem with the game, and that is something that sucks for people who don't know 1/2 their hits are not counting :/

2 and 2 is not the problem, fire 1 and 1 chain fire by holding the button down not two separate clicks, is distinctly different.
