So, Lord, If I run the game on the lowest settings with the 2nd build that doesn't need a monitor, what FPS are we talking about there, also, nice builds you guys have there. I have a local tech store that has many electronics that are mentioned here. Thanks again. ~ Scout Derek

Recorded this game a while ago with my pentium G3258, overclocked to 4.6, terrain and textures on medium, rest low. You can sortof make out the fps counter if you run the video on 1080p on a 1080p screen.

Of course max overclock will vary from chip to chip.

An even older fps log, still had the gtx470 in the rig then (r9 270 should be quite a bit faster).
http://tweakers.net/...hLLvpH/full.png

starts almost at 200 fps in the loading screen, then slowly keeps tanking, going a little under 60 when the brawl is at it's worst, climbs up agian as mechs start to die.

I'll second the Pentium G3258 recommendations - obviously, an i5 would be better, but the G3258 is an amazing chip for MWO considering its price. I was surprised to find mine would tackle MWO rather nicely @4.6/4.8 GHz, for an anecdotally better experience than an FX-6300 or FX-8320 at 4.6 GHz in MWO.

If you do get the G3258 you will want to make sure your board supports overclocking... as the last 2 guys said it is a huge performance bonus to that chip

Cause it's Intel and what others have said, 60+ FPS @ 1080P+ 100% For Sure

also, I went with the Pro BTC cause according to the Link Flapdrol Posted (http://forums.anandt...d.php?t=2389948), the Pro BTC can get it up to 4.5GHz @1.25v or 4.7GHz @ 1.35v, the -HDS He Recommended is 4.5GHz @ 1.3v so the Pro BTC can do 0.2GHz More with 0.05v Extra or the same GHz with 0.05v Less and the -HDS is only ~$2 Less

Let me be the first to shake my fist angrily @ those prix that robbed you......I know first hand how that feels loosing over $7K in electronics including my Cort curbow signature series custom bass guitar that was my child....Irreplacable. le sigh.

But yes a Highly overclocked G3258 will rock the sox off most titles managing a healthy MWO experience even......

yowch :(

My guitar isn't any expensive custom one but it's been on enough stages and seedy clubs and stained with enough beer, sweat, and blood that I'd be crushed if someone jacked it :(

Had my bass that a friend gave me stolen and it still rages me up!!!

The list in that topic only shows the 1.2 limit for the gigabyte boards. The rest of the voltages is just what people used to achieve their overclock. The HDS can probably get those voltages too, and my pro btc can also do 1.45V (required for 4.8 :P) , or even higher, there's no bios limit.

No problem. I was gonna throw it up on eBay but I'm in no rush so I'll just hang onto it for awhile. Just fire me a PM and let me know!

I'll tell you this beforehand though, I know it has basic OCing features, but it's not a Z series chipset so the OCing ability is less "in depth"

hello gents. I just finished up some X-mas shopping and managed to get the build that lord showed me without a monitor needed... needless to say, I'm still putting it together (Damn its late over here ;( ), and I'll show some results in a day or two if I can. Thank you all who offered me some very helpful tips, and merry X-mas yet again!
