Why the hell am i ALWAYS counter attacking. The past 10 games in a row for me have been counter attacking or attacking despite fact I clicked DEFEND. It's getting really old.

Your clicking of "defend" means you're defending the planet, not necessarily playing as a defender in the drop.
I believe whichever side fills first ends up as the attacker/counter attacker.

Same here i almost always counter attack. Gets lame when clan mechs just stand on generator and snipe you on your spawn

Fancy that, I've been attacking for the past 13 matches; every single one of them has been defend territory.
