But the AH is soo bad. I don't know if my loadout is just bad, but while I am really having fun with my Yen-Lo-Wang, the AH doesn't seem to have any loadouts I like.
Tried
3 machine guns, 3 SRM4s
1 AC 20, 2 SRM 4s
1 AC 10, 3 SRM 4s.
also I need a third one to finish skilling them up. What is the consensus between the A and the AL?

Centurions revolve around their Right arm weapon - the trick is to start with the weapon in your right arm that you are most comfortable with - dual ac 5, dual uac5, ac 20, ac10, etc.
As for the missile hardpoints, you can bring what you like, but if you do bring LRMs you at least have a threat range of greater than 270m with the AC 20.

Are you running the 255XL? The AH is god mode.

I run the AL with Triple LLasers and I am loving it. I use Std engine on that.
The A and AH (both came free to me) are LRM platforms for me, with XL engines.
The D is a fun ride with LBX, but I don't want 4 Cents in my inventory.

I used like centurions. But honestly they are just about worthless now.
After the hitbox debauchery there is no point to running a STD engine and one of the best most rugged mediums out there is just another XL.
At this point the HBK got the monster side of perks that must make it a stronger platform.
The only thing the CN9 had going for it was that it was one of the few mechs that benefited from running a STD engine. It was a perk. Unlike the HBK which was a requirement.
Now, meh.

There are just simply better mediums out there now. I get significantly better games in any of my shadowhawks. The lack of high mounted weapons hurts it. I've seen people run them effectively, but good games have thus far eluded me in the Centurion.
