Hey folks...question regarding the clan mechs camo (Ghost Bear, Wolf, Jaguar, Falcon) I really want to put Ghost bear camo on my Timberwolves, Novas and Direwolves...but cant. Is there a lore reason as to why or is this just a goofy limitation? Clan mech....why no clan paint?

I should mention I saw it on the front page that they will only be Wave II....but why??

I believe they'll be backported to Wave 1 mechs, so don't worry there.

However, you will have to buy them for MC for the Wave 1 mechs AFAIK. But they will be available.

OK..I guess that's an option. Other than a cash grab (like they haven't grabbed enough from me already) I don't know why they would limit it like this for those of us who spent all that money...

Well, just like we got the polygon camo for free on all of our (non-invasion) clan mechs, wave 2 is getting the clan-specific camos. We can't expect everything to be free.

They said they plan on making them work on Wave 1 mechs in a few patches, along with the Invasion variants.
Since its an UNLOCK you won't have to pay for it on those mechs.

Can't wait for camo on all of my (I) 'mechs.

Sure, some of them I was able to make look pretty robotic, almost transformer/decepticonish but for the most part you can't do much with them.

On the December road map they said that the faction camos would be useable on

• All Invasion Mechs (I)
  
• All Wave 1 Clan Mechs

However, i read nothing about requiring you to pay MC for them. I just expected them to be free, because we already own them they just don't work for Wave 1 yet.

Just be careful what you wish for because those camos act like Hero camo except u cant change the color eithers lol. who knows might be even more expensive :X then regular camos too.

Camos don't magically fit onto new mechs, takes time to implement them. They will be going on the Wave 1 mechs likely in the near future, probably in january, but they aren't free.

You will definitely have to pay to apply the camo to wave 1 mechs, just like you have to pay to apply it to the Mad Dog currently.

Yes they were not treated as Wave 2 mechs, but now they are. so if you paid for those camo patterns, tell support so they can give you the MC back.

Mad Dog owner, they weren't included in the faction packs at first, because they weren't part of the main Wave 2 package, but they changed their minds shortly after the backlash for it, and it's free now. Wave 1, however, will definitely be paying.

there was no backlash. they made a mistake in the system. it happens. They offered refunds because they realized the mistake quickly. The wave 1 mechs will likely be free.

It wasn't a mistake in the system at all. It was for the preordered mechs in Wave 2, not the Mad Dog. They changed it when everyone got mad because they assumed they would get the camos free for it as well (including myself)

Yes because all the posts on the forums about having to pay MC for their maddog and other clan mechs from the devs saying it was a mistake were just covering up the mistake. It was released early and as a reward for having both clan packages! it was considered separate by the system. Its a mistake that happens.

Especially considering the images of the faction patterns were, and still are displayed painted across the Mad Dog.

I can't imagine that I would buy the faction camos for my wave 1 mechs unless they UNLOCK THE COLORS on them. At least with the candy shell paint job on Invasion variants, I can choose my color.
