Regardless of the chest-thumping of a few individuals, the leadership of the organized Davion war effort is on board with the 72 hour window mentioned by OP (ceasefire on the 23rd through ceasefire on the 26th) being marked for defensive operations only.

We understand that no faction - no matter how well organized - can control their pugs, so we will defend our worlds and we would never ask any other faction to leave their worlds completely undefended.

Please take this opportunity to stonewall the invading Clans, and fight on as the Star League in the spirit of unity this holiday season.

It is really hard to hear "I need a break from kicking your face in because I'm going on holiday. We can return to regularly scheduled fighting once I'm refreshed." and say "Ok, that sounds good. I should let you rest when I possibly have the same advantage you have been using on me."

It is also a bitter pill to swallow, when you call on us to use our forces on the Clan front, yet Davion continuously uses its numbers to overpower Liao. It seems to me that excess Davion units could be better placed on the Clan front and make a difference there if there is to be a spirit of unity that could vaguely resemble the Star League. Davion aggression against House Liao demonstrates otherwise.

It is not chest thumping, nor a house divided - but calling this offer of a truce for what it is, an agreement made in bad faith. I in no way speak for my unit, but I think the majority of House Liao would agree with this sentiment.

The reality is, there will still be many people on, and many that are not and if they want to play, they are going to. I think the reduced numbers will ultimately decide if there is a truce. Enjoy the holidays and the time off with family, and come back and take worlds if that is what happens. Many of us will not be around and are expecting to do the same.

I would second Vandril on this one. YYou're steamrolling us with superior numbers anyhow, it's kind of silly for us to accept a truce because your numbers might be down over the holidays. What's the worst that can happen if we refuse, you keep taking our planets at the same rate you have been all along?

How about we don't and just keep slaughtering HHoD like the Davion equivalent of the Washington Generals they are?

I mean being a human wave tying us up while your Davion Ultramarines Mary Sue hordes take over our glorious Juche lands is effective but this is no reason for us to accept any cease fire whilst the holidays are ongoing. I work more, get crankier, and now that Legend of Korra is done I need to take out my life frustrations by shooting Davions who are mostly worse players than me because it makes me feel better and therapy is expensive and I am unaware if my insurance covers it.

(I guess I could go look for fan art on tumblr but then I would have to shoot myself in the face and why buy a gun when I can't even rationalize a Wii U with sweet sweet Mario Kart action? Electric heating is expensive in the winters yo.)

I have free premium time and a Mad Cat collection to maintain. Davions are good cheevo grind fodder.

Accepting a truce with Davion would be like kissing your sister and your brother while your creepy uncle watches. Gross.

Also, what would be the point? If I wanted to worry about the clan border I would have joined a faction there of. The way I see it, the sooner they get to Davion space the better.

While there may have been a ceasefire between house regular units, the Apocalypse Lancers are under independent contract and we intend to get paid. That means fulfilling the terms of that contract on time and under budget. If this is a political issue, please direct all concerns to the Mercenary Review and Bonding Commission.

[color=#222222]I really have enjoyed this post more than any other, mainly because I am an active duty Soldier - I have not known a ceasefire to be observed in the last 22 years by North Korean scumbags, war criminals committing genocide against people in the Balkans, insurgents around the world ask for them on their holidays and then attack us (peace keepers/military forces) during their religious/holy observations - and here in a fictional setting people role play the factions they represent.[/color]

I know how our Liao friends feel, but right now Marik is focused on Steiner, and kicking there teeth in heavily for breaking the Ceasefire and taking our planet on Christmas. They moaned and wined how they had no one to fight on our shared borders last week when we and the Davions were knocking each other senseless. Now we are showing the Steiner's how truly weak they really are, when in a fair fight, and not attacking turrets.
