Just put a new build together...

Asus z97 pro gamer motherboard
i5 4690k @ 4.6ghz 1.25v
Corsair h100
8gb corsair ddr3 1600mzh
Asus r9 280x direct cu top

Temps are great., don't breach 80 under full load and 50 after 2hours of MWO.
At 1080p and very high setting v sync on I am rock steady at 60fps and only very occasional dips to around 40fps when things get real busy. Upgraded from a fx6350 and I could not be happier...
Glad I didn't go for the i7.

Yes a MIN framerate of 40 on THIS games makes me happy....

Mins only touching 40 with everything cranked isn't bad at all, especially since the mins are usually statistical outliers. Not bad, OP. Not bad at all.
